  • "1 Given the location of the hotel, transport is almost essential

    2 In common with every other hotel in Greece where I have had breakfast, the bread was stale and dried out. As the local bakers opened well before 8 a.m. (when breakfast started), I find it difficult to understand why Greece seems to be the only country where fresh bread is not on the breakfast menu!"

    "As far as I know, there was nothing nearby (except a convenient scooter/car hire business)."

  • "From my point of view, the Hotel Mykali was superb. the room was good, the staff friendly and helpful. The location quiet. I couldn't fault it. Best holiday ever in the Greek islands!

    It is a little out of town for those not hiring a car though."

    "Many nice quiet beaches to the east of the island. Some good walking to be had in the mountains. Would recommend hiring a car to get the best from Samos."

  • "A lovely locatıon wıth a welcome hıll-top breeze, - quıet, green area wıth
    fabulous vıews!
    Very helpful staff - always a clean and frıendly place to come back to.
    Regular shuttle mınıbus to eıther thge beach or the vıllage makıng thıs a
    practıcal locatıon away from the centre.
    Superb full sıze pool for swımmıng and relaxıng wıth new sunbeds and shades.
    Pleasantly surprısed at these hıgh standards!
    I look forward to returnıng."

  • "The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the hotel was clean but not very comfortable and the food was simply awful. I did have a nice holiday though."

  • Top Tip:

    "The beach at Psili Ammos is well worth a visit. It is idle for families as the water is calm and very gradually slopes away. It also has a good taverna. You can get there by boat from Pythagorian foe 20 euros."

  • "We were very impressed with the standard of the room. We emailled and asked for a terrace room because of our children and the hotel arranged this immediately. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. The walk down to the town was difficult and therefore we used either the shuttle bus or called a taxi. Taxis were inexpensive and very prompt. Food was very good, even our two children who are quite picky eaters enjoyed it."

    "The Four Seasons Restaurant in the harbourside served delicious local food and they also were very helpful with small portions for small people. The beach close to the hotel (you have to look for it) was lovely and quiet with plenty of room. A small beach bar and gently shelving beach made it absolutely perfect."

Hotel Details - Mykali Hotel

Official Rating - B Class - Bed & Breakfast / Half Board

Mykali Hotel is situated in the beautiful resort of Pythagorion, only 1,5 km from the centre and 500 m from the beach. Hotel is tastefully built in traditional style, giving priority to hospitality and service. The 60 rooms are divided over to buildings, and all of them have sea-view. The hotel is built on a hill with stunning views of the surrounding countryside and the sea.

Accommodation

All the rooms feature beautiful sea view, comfortably furnished and equipped with balcony, shower and WC, hairdryer, direct dial phone, music, air – condition (only operational in July-August and only for a few hours daily) satellite-TV, refrigerator, safety deposit box and rooms have also daily cleaning service.

Food & Beverage

The hotel features a restaurant, bar and snack-bar.

Sports & Leisure

Sporting and leisure activities include playground, jacuzzi, tennis court, and one of the largest swimming pools of Samos with a superb view.

There is a regular shuttle bus to Pythagoreion 5 times a day, 6 days a week (except on Sundays).
