Keith from Middlesbrough reviewed the 1898 Barcelona Hotel
"This was the first time we had been to Barcelona and this hotel was absolutely fantastic. The staff were so so helpful and although it is situated on La Rambla we did not hear any noise from the street. Going at the end of Ocober the roof top pool was closed but this was more than compensated for by the excellent spa facilities on the lower ground floor. If there was a down side it would be that the rooms are all quite dark with few windows but they are air conditioned."
Top Tip:
"The hotel is very well situated for the Metro and bus services from Placa Catalunya. Although a short Metro ride away, the Magic Fountains near to Place Espanya is a must see."
Teresa from Warrington reviewed the 1898 Barcelona Hotel
"Fabulous hotel, excellent service, lovely room and quiet despite overlooking possibly one of the noisiest streets we've ever stayed on! Make time to use the facilities, the underground pool and sauna/steam rooms were a welcome respite."
Top Tip:
"Don't eat on La Rambla, there are plenty of options available within a short walking distance, and even if tourist buses aren't usually your thing, the service available is well worth the ticket price enabling you to get a glimpse of everything that Barcelona has to offer."
Brian from Southampton reviewed the 1898 Barcelona Hotel
"Good service, high level of cleanliness and a peaceful haven in the middle of a bustling city. Food in hotel restaurant was excellent but a bit quiet in the evening with not much atmosphere,"
Top Tip:
"Open topped tour buses were excellent way of seeing a lot in a short time."
Catherine from Derry reviewed the 1898 Barcelona Hotel
"Beautifully decorated hotel, though the rooms were a bit small, lovely roof top pool and decked area. The Hotel is very central, and so handy."
Top Tip:
"I have to say, the food leaves alot to be desired. In my opinion and we tried a few recommended places, grossly overpriced for what was being served up. We tried various places, and even spoke to people on the way home, who were in total agreement."
