"Very basic and very noisy but great location"

"The Kanabesh can't be faulted for location - it is right in the heart of Naama Bay and just a step away from the beach. The good thing was that while in the hotel it was very quiet and peaceful. The negative is that coaches and buses can't get right up to the door so if your suitcase is heavy, you might struggle getting there.
The hotel itself is a bit jaded and could do with some tlc, but having said that, it was clean and tidy. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.
The room had an unusual layout in that it was over a couple of floors. All the basics were there but the room was quite tight for space. There was a roof terrace as well but we rarely used this. Sadly there is no view from the terrace."

"Clean and tidy - excellent location but suffers from noise from Pacha nightclub."

"The hotel was quite basic, but very clean and very nice and helpful staff. The location of the hotel was perfect, close to the beach and in the centre of the resort but also quiet enough too!! Could not fault it."

"The room was basic but very clean and the roof terrace made up for the lack of window viewing inside. The hotel situation was fantastic!! Its own private beach, right next to the Red Sea College for diving and right in the town centre - so no need for taxi'sor buses. The food was plentiful and sitting under the stars or blue sky for evening meal was great. All the staff were friendly and supportive and their understanding and use of English enabled good communication."

"The room we were given was the worst room ever. Asked to change to a bigger room which happened on the 2nd night. The room was bigger but still not very clean. The cleaners make some good towel art though!! Pacha nightclub can be heard till the early hours and if you put air con on thats so decrepid the noise is nearly as bad. Not much choice for breakfast, mainly catering for Egyptian guests. But their beach is very nice and clean. All staff very friendly. Would not stay here ever again, there are hotels in the same price range that are cleaner and not so noisy."

"Maintenence of hotel room was not kept up to date, but it was in a brilliant location."

"Rooms in need of much TLC. Everywhere clean.
GREAT LOCATION,
but do not use this hotel if you want a decent hotel holiday but it is fine to use as a base if you are going to the beach and excursions all the time."

"Hotel staff are friendly,"

"The hotel room was simple with unique Arabian character -a split level with approx. 4-5 steps between bed and shower room and steps to private roof top. Staff were friendly. Hotels' best facility was its private beach with few coral reefs - ideal for snokelling and relaxing and was not too over-crowded; a clean sandy beach which was well managed by hotel staff daily in comparison to other private beaches. Restaurants on the beach front and the main hotel offered great variety of local, european foods and fresh seafoods. We recommended toasted sandwiches served with chips from the beach front restaurant for lunch. The waiters were very entertaining and helpful. Hotel's central location was very handy for variety of restaurants and shops but could be quite noisy at night. We chose this hotel because it was next to the Dive shop which I took the PADI OW course (few days) and at the same time, my non-diver hubby enjoyed swimming, relaxing on a lovely beach and central location for his walkabouts as he was not so keen on spending too long on sunbathing!"

"As we were there for the diving we did not get the chance to use the hotel to full effect. However the food and service were excellent. Pity the pool was only open from after breakfast until sunset - we like an early morning/evening swim! I will be back without a doubt. Only criticism - we had to pay extra for extended departure time because our flights were late arrival and late depart. Left a slightly sour taste as the hotel was not full."

"The room was very basic but was adequate for our requirements. The staff were very friendly, our experience in the past three visits to Sharm supports this comment. The Sea View restaurant (part of the Kanabesh complex) is very relaxing and the 'host', a more mature gentlemen, is very welcoming and always has a little quip to add to the conversation.
The hotel pool was very pleasant, and for guests who want to take advantage of the brilliant scuba diving Sharm has to offer they could do no better than to go next door to the Red Sea College where their every requirement will be catered for. Wouldn't hesitate to return as the cost was very reasonable."
