  • Lisa from Wigan reviewed the Naama Bay Kanabesh Hotel

  • "Very basic and very noisy but great location"

  • Top Tip:

"Fanwys lebanese restaurant and little buddha are great.

Always check your bill for any extras added on."

  • Marion from Harrogate reviewed the Naama Bay Kanabesh Hotel

  • "The Kanabesh can't be faulted for location - it is right in the heart of Naama Bay and just a step away from the beach. The good thing was that while in the hotel it was very quiet and peaceful. The negative is that coaches and buses can't get right up to the door so if your suitcase is heavy, you might struggle getting there.

The hotel itself is a bit jaded and could do with some tlc, but having said that, it was clean and tidy. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.

The room had an unusual layout in that it was over a couple of floors. All the basics were there but the room was quite tight for space. There was a roof terrace as well but we rarely used this. Sadly there is no view from the terrace."

  • Richard from Acton reviewed the Naama Bay Kanabesh Hotel

  • "Clean and tidy - excellent location but suffers from noise from Pacha nightclub."

  • Top Tip:

"If you dive, the location is next to the Red Sea Dive College, which is excellent. Camel Indian restaurant is also excellent, as is the Egyptian restaurant above the Hard Rock Cafe."

  • Kelly from Barnoldswick reviewed the Naama Bay Kanabesh Hotel

  • "The hotel was quite basic, but very clean and very nice and helpful staff. The location of the hotel was perfect, close to the beach and in the centre of the resort but also quiet enough too!! Could not fault it."

  • Top Tip:

"Enjoyed having lunch at the hotel restaurant as you did not have to walk very far!! Found a nice restaurant called Vino's near the hotel which did lovely Fishermans Soup."

  • Elisa from Stroud reviewed the Naama Bay Kanabesh Hotel

  • "The room was basic but very clean and the roof terrace made up for the lack of window viewing inside. The hotel situation was fantastic!! Its own private beach, right next to the Red Sea College for diving and right in the town centre - so no need for taxi'sor buses. The food was plentiful and sitting under the stars or blue sky for evening meal was great. All the staff were friendly and supportive and their understanding and use of English enabled good communication."

  • Top Tip:

"Snorkling at the Blue Hole near Dahab is great if you don't dive. Tons of fish and coral very close to the surface."

  • Ian from Buxton reviewed the Naama Bay Kanabesh Hotel

  • "The room we were given was the worst room ever. Asked to change to a bigger room which happened on the 2nd night. The room was bigger but still not very clean. The cleaners make some good towel art though!! Pacha nightclub can be heard till the early hours and if you put air con on thats so decrepid the noise is nearly as bad. Not much choice for breakfast, mainly catering for Egyptian guests. But their beach is very nice and clean. All staff very friendly. Would not stay here ever again, there are hotels in the same price range that are cleaner and not so noisy."

  • Top Tip:

"Italian restaurant at the Jollie Ville excellent, chinese/japanese at the Gazala Beach excellent and the Indian in the Camel Hotel excellent"

    GREAT LOCATION,

  • Praphanee from Bonnyrigg reviewed the Naama Bay Kanabesh Hotel

  • "The hotel room was simple with unique Arabian character -a split level with approx. 4-5 steps between bed and shower room and steps to private roof top. Staff were friendly. Hotels' best facility was its private beach with few coral reefs - ideal for snokelling and relaxing and was not too over-crowded; a clean sandy beach which was well managed by hotel staff daily in comparison to other private beaches. Restaurants on the beach front and the main hotel offered great variety of local, european foods and fresh seafoods. We recommended toasted sandwiches served with chips from the beach front restaurant for lunch. The waiters were very entertaining and helpful. Hotel's central location was very handy for variety of restaurants and shops but could be quite noisy at night. We chose this hotel because it was next to the Dive shop which I took the PADI OW course (few days) and at the same time, my non-diver hubby enjoyed swimming, relaxing on a lovely beach and central location for his walkabouts as he was not so keen on spending too long on sunbathing!"

  • Top Tip:

"Recommended taking few Excursions! We enjoyed climbing up Moses Mountain which started at 2 a.m. & St Katherine Monatery 's visit. A day visit to Cairo by plane was well worth it - making sure you stopped at Al-Khali Khalim Market. A trip to Tiran island was good for snorkelling with very good lunch. We did all of our excursions with ORBIT Tour located at Namma Bay, not far from Little Buddha Bar. We found the company was reliable and good value for money. We took one trip with them first to check it out before we decided to book the rest of the excursions. Drinks - the cheapest happy hour we found was at Camel's Dive Club Roof top bar 5 to 7 p.m. daily buy one beer (local beer) get another one beer free. We paid 50 Egypt Pound (5UK £) per round for 2 beers and a glass of Red wine (local wine)."

  • Adam from Grantham reviewed the Naama Bay Kanabesh Hotel

  • "As we were there for the diving we did not get the chance to use the hotel to full effect. However the food and service were excellent. Pity the pool was only open from after breakfast until sunset - we like an early morning/evening swim! I will be back without a doubt. Only criticism - we had to pay extra for extended departure time because our flights were late arrival and late depart. Left a slightly sour taste as the hotel was not full."

  • Top Tip:

"The restaurants on the beach were FANTASTIC for evening food. We had expected "Tourist Burger Food". How wrong can you be!!!"

  • Nicola from Sleaford reviewed the Naama Bay Kanabesh Hotel

  • "The room was very basic but was adequate for our requirements. The staff were very friendly, our experience in the past three visits to Sharm supports this comment. The Sea View restaurant (part of the Kanabesh complex) is very relaxing and the 'host', a more mature gentlemen, is very welcoming and always has a little quip to add to the conversation.
The hotel pool was very pleasant, and for guests who want to take advantage of the brilliant scuba diving Sharm has to offer they could do no better than to go next door to the Red Sea College where their every requirement will be catered for. Wouldn't hesitate to return as the cost was very reasonable."

  • Top Tip:

"An excellent bar along the sea front (part of the Ghazala Hotel complex) offers first class cocktails and beers all at happy hour prices between 1800 and 2100 every evening. Again the staff are extremely pleasant and enjoy being engaged in conversation - helps their use of English and they all have some fascinating story to tell of where they have come from, how hard they work, and when they will return to their families for a few days - usually in Cairo or Alexandria."
