"Having stayed in the same hotel a year previous which was named The Occidental Allegro we were surprised to find it was now called Sunscape Punta Cana Hotel. There were a lot of staff from the previous year still there who i must say were very helpfull and we cannot praise them enough. We found out the second week that the hotel was closing a day after we left. withing that week the company started cutting back on different things. ie the beer would run out at 10.30 every night only to be back on the next day, the staff seemed to be dwindelling by the day. The hotel was advertised has having 5 resturant's as was the year previous but only two were open at any one time. I appreciate you can only eat at one at a time but it did restrict your choice where as the choice was there a year before. Sunscape are apparently closing to upgrade the hotel to 5 star accomodation which is great but we hope it does not change the great atmosphere provided by the exellent location and superb staff. The first week was great but the second was spoilled somewhat mainly through lack of information and cutbacks, nobody seemed to know what was going on and it showed through worried staff. We would like to go back next year but it depends on cost."

"The hotel was clean, the pool was great, the beach was clean and beautiful, the size of the room was very good, even though the bathroom needs some renovation but was still ok, the buffet food was delicious, lots of choice for all tastes. Will defenitly recommend this hotel to friends and family."
