"The pool was always dirty never properly cleaned. The breakfast was also very poor. During our stay solvents were being used in the hotel and the smell was so strong we could constantly smell it. We paid for 5 however we only received accommodation for 4. Never again."

"The hotel was clean, but the staff were a little unfriendly and unhelpful. As two young women travelling together we were also subject to some comments and stares which we considered inappropriate. Obviously we expected a degree of interest while on the street as we were in a country with a totally different culture, but you should be able to sit by your hotel pool and not feel victimised."

"This hotel needs a proper clean and a new swimming pool. Most rooms overlook another building about 2 metres away. Also has a weird dinning room with no natural light. The above comments maybe reflcted in the price. "

"really clean and central hotel , close to all the sites ( karnack , luxor temple , mumification museum , luxor museum ) simply a few minutes walk . The market is also minutes away. The staff were helpfull and polite as long as you tip them , they will often try to charge you more money by not presenting the bill. the room were clean no too big but not too small either , but very very dark , you need light at all times , room service 24 hrs which is great . I would advise not to take the half-board holiday as many people complain that the food served was not nice and they had to go and eat somewhere else. We didn`t take half-board but were often eating at the swimming pool hotel and the food was ok , far from gourmet cuisine but just ok , you can order '' a la carte '' and it seems much better than the food served if you have the half-board option. Also very cheap. they also have a great laundry service , very cheap and quick and save you bringing so many clothes with you. In all the hotel is good value for money ."

"This was a really good hotel for a short stay, its localization is excellent, because is close to karnak, luxor temple and luxor museum. It is perfect if you like walking!"

"The staff were very helpful and friendly. Food in the restaraunt is good and plenty of it. Room service good can get anything any time of day or night. The laundry service is really cheap and all my things came back better than I do them, so no washing when I got home. "

"Service was friendly and efficient , their small restaurant serves cheap and tasty convenience food egyptian style (chicken sandwiches etc...) and it is well situated, at a walking distance from many tourist sites and with a chemist and a bank on each side. The rooms are often dark and some are quite small, so is the pool as well as freezing cold ( the picture is extremely misleading, it is tiny that pool !) , not much of a view from the terrace and breakfast is mediocre despite the waiter's pleasant disposition."

"We stayed in the Hotel Philippe in Luxor, which was nice and clean for what we needed, we stayed in room 512 on 5th floor, it had 3 single beds view to the nile and seating area within the room. We had satelite TV on 2 channels one with movies all day, and the ther CNN . Food was a bit repetitive we was half board but must admit we went out and ate few nights as it was so cheap , could not face fish and rice or meat and rice again... Hotel Pool was let down, dont get me wrong lovely pool except lots of complaints from guests as it was freezing, and not heated so we could not use it was ice cold.....Staff could not do enough for you....Hotel situated very close to the nile ideal location... "
