"Initially I phoned the hotel to confirm my booking and discovered that the two rooms I booked were in different buildings, although I did request them together at the time of booking. However, on arrival the staff were fantastic and arranged two rooms together in the hotel. Could not fault the staff who were very helpful and friendly, the hotel was clean and modern.
Only criticism was there were not enough sun loungers around the pool."

"The apartments were excellent, very spacious with everything you need. It was also great having the hotel on the grounds we used this daily for the breakfast, gym and internet access. If we booked here again we would probably book the hotel as it looks very nice and modern. The location was very central 5 minutes walk to the bottom of strip and 5 minutes to the beach. Very happy."

"Nice hotel next to the beach and shops. The "strip" is 10 mins away with the beach 10 mins down stairs. Hotel reception was ok but one or two of the staff were not helpful - especailly the tall stocky guy. As in other reviews no help with the bags to your apartment and the apartmaent we had had a smell in the bedroom which we complained about but nothing was done. The rooms within the Hotel seemed better rather the the apartments (Outbuildings). I think these are the superior apartments rather than standard. Definately book the superior apartments. Overall a average hotel with a great location but so could easliy be a great hotel."

"This is not a four star hotel more like a low 3 star. Our room was "cleaned" every day but it wasn't noticeable. Beds weren't made and we only got new towels twice in a week. Sheets weren't changed at all. The food at breakfast was nice but the staff were unnattentive and customer service was non-existant. Breakfast starts at 7.30 but was not actually laid out till gone 8 and when you've got excursions to go on you need it to be punctual.

On the brighter side the reception staff were very helpful and friendly and the pool is lovely if a bit chilly in April. The beach is a very short walk away and is clean and the cafe is really nice.

Albufeira generally is Britain under the sun. My advice is take as many excursions out into the beautiful countryside as you can and use Abufeira as your base.

The strip is full of cheesy bars playing cheesier music which if you're into that sort of thing would be great, steer clear if you're not."

"these hotel/apartments were really well located, spacious and very clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful too and I would definatley go back again. When you check in at the hotel you recieve a free drink voucher and there is entertainment on most afternoons and evenings. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within the vicinity and the beach and the main strip are only a 5 minute walk away, not too near so the noise doesn't disturb you. Exellent value for money."

"They put us in an apartment which was very clean and tidy, however beds were only changed once a week which was a little dissapointing for a four star establishment. Also maid service was between the hours of 0900-1800 so you never knew when they were going to come. The apartment we were in didnt have an ounce of sun on the balcony all holiday which made the apartment cold and the air conditioning didnt work the best.
Apart from the above everything else was fine."

"We stayed in the Quinta Dos Becos Apartments in Apartment 14G and I have to say that the appartments were lovely. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need for self catering. We had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool area and the sun was on the balcony from 10.30 am until the sun disappeared at approx. 5pm. We were lucky in that respect as there is a large number of trees surrounding the complex and some of the balconies were stuck behind them so no sun.

The bedroom was a good size but I have to say that the beds were not very comfortable and are in need of new matresses, a bit lumpy.

The apartments were cleaned nearly every day by the maid service, which was great, with fresh towels every day.

Staff at the hotel were very helpful and answered any questions we had very efficiently. I took ill on this holiday with an ecoli infection (nothing to do with the hotel !) the staff assisted in getting a doctor to me and with extra blankets to make sure I was warm at night.

Overall a lovely stay with no complaints at all !"

"If you stay on the ground floor of the apartments you do not have a proper balcony.
The bathroom smelled of damp wood because the water always got out from the shower curtain (about time hotels fitted bath screens instead of curtains)"

"There is no way this was a four star hotel - we did not even have a proper bed just a couch and pull out to sleep on.
Cleaning of the room also left a lot to be desired (sink was not cleaned all week), cleaning not done at all for two days, sheets not changed and towels changed twice. When it rained the ceiling leaked."

"Apartments were very large compared to what we are used to, although close to the beach there are 96 steps to get up and down, so not good for elderly / disabled. My only dissappoinment was that the apartments did not face a pool you were looking out on to a road and they were not cleaned for a week whilst we were there only fresh towels given mid week. Overall very nice apartment, close to the "strip" but would want to look at poolside in future."

"We went as a group of 12 young people and had an awesome holiday! Apartments were clean and very spacious, even the one bedroom apartments could comfortably sleep 4 people. Very close to the beach and walking distance (5 mins) from the strip. Staff were really friendly and all spoke English. Would definitely recommend these apartments for families or a group of friends too!"

"Appartment very clean, reception staff helpful, no problem with a late check out.
Pool area very clean and inside a enclosed area with locked gate so very safe for children. The pool gate is unlocked by an electronic card on the key chain, we were not told this when receiving the keys from reception and it was only after 2 days of asking people to release the gate from the inside that we released this that was how to get in a number of other guest had not realised this either.

There is 100 steps down to the beach so not idea for anyone who has difficulty walking.

There is building work going on next to the hotel but this only effect a very small number of the rooms and the hotel being built looked almost complete so no noisy heavy construction work should be occuring in the future."

"i booked in a group only to find the requests that i made were not made-i asked to be by friend who also stayed the same time-mehmet and mahood but we was in the next block.
my room was average and theyre rooms was fantastic!
also another group of girls who holidayed with us were double booked and had no room at all and had to stay for 2 nights in another hotel altogether.

"The aprtments are very clean and tidy, however do not have great views over the bay - if there are any balcony rooms they will be overlooking a road across to other buildings or over the pool. The first room we stayed in was next to the entrance to the block and when sat watching TV or at the table, people were peering in and so not private at all, so had to draw the curtains - very dark!!. we couldt leave any doors or window open even when in apartmentwhen in shower etc as feerful that belloing not safe (there were no obvious signs that there was an theiving but you dont want to leave it to chance do you?!)
. We were moved after day 3 - the other room had a double doors and privacy where we were much happier - excellent maid service and very clean, kitchen and utnsils / pans ects more than enough including microwave.
The pool was very nice although we like the beach so didnt stay there - good service from the reception and pool snack bar.

I would class this as 3 star and not 4 star compared to English standards."

"The apartments were well located, 5 minutes walk from the main 'strip' with all the bars and restaurants and close to the beach. The pool area was peaceful and very clean. We opted for the bed and breakfast option which we found good, as you could order anything from the breakfast snack bar menu. We booked a studio apartment and requested a balcony. When we arrived we found that no studios had balcony's, we were not informed of this when booking the hotel. The room was adequate but did not have a double bed but had a sofa bed instead, which had a pull out extension this was awkward and uncomfortable."
