"We stayed in the Quinta Dos Becos Apartments in Apartment 14G and I have to say that the appartments were lovely. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need for self catering. We had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool area and the sun was on the balcony from 10.30 am until the sun disappeared at approx. 5pm. We were lucky in that respect as there is a large number of trees surrounding the complex and some of the balconies were stuck behind them so no sun.

The bedroom was a good size but I have to say that the beds were not very comfortable and are in need of new matresses, a bit lumpy.

The apartments were cleaned nearly every day by the maid service, which was great, with fresh towels every day.

Staff at the hotel were very helpful and answered any questions we had very efficiently. I took ill on this holiday with an ecoli infection (nothing to do with the hotel !) the staff assisted in getting a doctor to me and with extra blankets to make sure I was warm at night.

Overall a lovely stay with no complaints at all !"

"If you stay on the ground floor of the apartments you do not have a proper balcony.
The bathroom smelled of damp wood because the water always got out from the shower curtain (about time hotels fitted bath screens instead of curtains)"

"Hotel was very spacious, considering i only booked a twin studio, was given an apartment with a balcony. Got a bit chilly at night though, so would advise going earlier in the year.
Receptionists all good & always willing to help.
Cannot fault my dealings with Travel republic, answered all queries promptly & no problems with any aspect of the holiday."

"I requested a sea/view or pool view and got neither and there was also no balcony on our apartment
I requested a change but was told that the Hotel was full despite throughout our stay,there was ample evidence that there was lots of apartments with baconies that were empty"

"There is no way this was a four star hotel - we did not even have a proper bed just a couch and pull out to sleep on.
Cleaning of the room also left a lot to be desired (sink was not cleaned all week), cleaning not done at all for two days, sheets not changed and towels changed twice. When it rained the ceiling leaked."

"Apartments were very large compared to what we are used to, although close to the beach there are 96 steps to get up and down, so not good for elderly / disabled. My only dissappoinment was that the apartments did not face a pool you were looking out on to a road and they were not cleaned for a week whilst we were there only fresh towels given mid week. Overall very nice apartment, close to the "strip" but would want to look at poolside in future."

"We went as a group of 12 young people and had an awesome holiday! Apartments were clean and very spacious, even the one bedroom apartments could comfortably sleep 4 people. Very close to the beach and walking distance (5 mins) from the strip. Staff were really friendly and all spoke English. Would definitely recommend these apartments for families or a group of friends too!"

"Appartment very clean, reception staff helpful, no problem with a late check out.
Pool area very clean and inside a enclosed area with locked gate so very safe for children. The pool gate is unlocked by an electronic card on the key chain, we were not told this when receiving the keys from reception and it was only after 2 days of asking people to release the gate from the inside that we released this that was how to get in a number of other guest had not realised this either.

There is 100 steps down to the beach so not idea for anyone who has difficulty walking.

There is building work going on next to the hotel but this only effect a very small number of the rooms and the hotel being built looked almost complete so no noisy heavy construction work should be occuring in the future."

"i booked in a group only to find the requests that i made were not made-i asked to be by friend who also stayed the same time-mehmet and mahood but we was in the next block.
my room was average and theyre rooms was fantastic!
also another group of girls who holidayed with us were double booked and had no room at all and had to stay for 2 nights in another hotel altogether.
the apartments were clean and tidy but felt i had a very average room in comparison."

"The aprtments are very clean and tidy, however do not have great views over the bay - if there are any balcony rooms they will be overlooking a road across to other buildings or over the pool. The first room we stayed in was next to the entrance to the block and when sat watching TV or at the table, people were peering in and so not private at all, so had to draw the curtains - very dark!!. we couldt leave any doors or window open even when in apartmentwhen in shower etc as feerful that belloing not safe (there were no obvious signs that there was an theiving but you dont want to leave it to chance do you?!)
. We were moved after day 3 - the other room had a double doors and privacy where we were much happier - excellent maid service and very clean, kitchen and utnsils / pans ects more than enough including microwave.
The pool was very nice although we like the beach so didnt stay there - good service from the reception and pool snack bar.

I would class this as 3 star and not 4 star compared to English standards."

"The apartments were well located, 5 minutes walk from the main 'strip' with all the bars and restaurants and close to the beach. The pool area was peaceful and very clean. We opted for the bed and breakfast option which we found good, as you could order anything from the breakfast snack bar menu. We booked a studio apartment and requested a balcony. When we arrived we found that no studios had balcony's, we were not informed of this when booking the hotel. The room was adequate but did not have a double bed but had a sofa bed instead, which had a pull out extension this was awkward and uncomfortable."

"Nice quiet area and only a few minutes away from all the hustle and bustle.

"Quinta Pedra Dos Bicos was a lovely complex with nicely done out rooms and air con (which was a god send). Nice pool area, although not enough sun loungers but we didn't mind laying on the grass area. The pool bar was good and the food very good. Top service! Balconies of apartments a bit small and walls a bit thin. Had a really enjoyable stay in Portugal."
