"Wonderful hotel, excellent and attentive staff and great food with plenty of choice.
Disappointed with their "speciality dining" (maybe because it was in the open air and a bit chilly) - although this is waiter sevice and no extra cost the choice of food was limited and not as good as you could get in the main dining room.
Overall a great hotel which I would love to go back to and would fully recommend."Top Tip:

"The Hotel/Staff were fantastic, o.k. in fairness the rooms could maybe do with a wee bit of a facelift, but I must still stick by my aforementioned statement. The outlook onto the Dunes were awesome,breathtaking, fantastic."
Top Tip:
"Go to Moby's for lunch run by a German Lady Christine, lovely lady, leave the hotel go straight ahead, over the first island, Moby's is situated on the left. Great food, great host. The Riu Palace Maspalomas is located in a quiet area amid lush gardens by the sea and close to El Faro and the famous dunes of Maspalomas beach. Designed to resemble a huge Roman amphitheatre that is especially impressive when its lit up at night, this is undoubtedly one of the most impressive hotels in the south of the island.
Accommodation
The hotel consists of 368 guestrooms all equipped with bathroom / bidet, hairdryer, fitted carpet, telephone, central air conditioning, ceiling fan, Mini-bar, sat-TV, surround music channel, in-room safe (additional charge), balcony or terrace. Most rooms have sea view. Suites with: separated living room, suites with extra bedroom and additional bathroom with shower available, additional TV, sea view.
Food & Beverage
Lobby bar with terrace, Lounge bar with card games area and terrace, Restaurant with non-smoking section and terrace. Breakfast: Varied buffet with: wholemeal products, on the spot cooking station, cava. Lunch: Light fare. Dinner: cold and warm starters buffet and dishes prepared on the spot, main course served at the table (vegetarian dish available), dessert buffet and cheese cart, full dinner service available. Special evenings: theme buffet (twice a week). Optional dining at the theme restaurant: three theme dinners (alternating days), no additional charge/advanced reservation required.
Sports & Leisure
Swimming pool (611sq meters) heated in winter, Swimming pool (281sq meters) with counter-current swimming area, pool loungers and Jacuzzi. Childrens swimming pool (8sq meters) heated in winter, complimentary lounge chairs, towels and sun umbrellas by the pool, terrace-solarium, complimentary Jacuzzi in the garden. Sports complimentary in the hotel: ping pong, gym. Other sports and facilities in the hotel (additional charge): 2 lighted artificial-grass tennis courts, billiards and table football. Other sports and facilities nearby (additional charge): variety of water sports available, two 18-hole golf courses, mini-golf, squash and bicycle rental. Entertainment: live music or shows (several times a week).
