"Great hotel with good facilities. Food excellent in the main restaurant as well as the three other available places which are all included. Our room was fairly basic, but it was clean and comfortable so no complaints. Hotel is very isolated, but if you just want a quiet, chilled out break away (we did), then this is a good place to go. Heard some people complaining about the food and couldn't understand why, but upon investigation this was usually because there weren't enough chips, fish fingers or chicken nuggets! Staff were very friendly as well, with the exception of one grumpy receptionist! I would definitely recommend this hotel for a quiet chilled out holiday. There are facilities for children and families, but it's not difficult to get away from noisy kids if you want to!"

"Nicely laid out site, low level buildings lessening the impact on the area. Good sized swimming pool, beach immediately across a quiet road. Food very average, the local foods on the buffet were the best, sadly the food provided is trying to pamper to "Brits abroad" tastes. Little else there in the resort, but easy to hire a car and explore the area. End of season marvellously quiet with superb weather this year."

"The Hotel was of a 4 star standard but the internet said it was 5. We did have some money and other property go missing from the room so i would be more careful the next time i go but i would definatlety go back there next year if the price was right."

"Brilliant hotel weather was good for time of year beach is amazing sea was like a bath. hotel is in need of a bit of updating here and there but apart from that would recermend to youg families. food was excelent!"

"We enjoyed our stay at Mitsis Rodos Maris, but this is no way a 5 star resort, so please don't go with expectations that you will get 5 star service & surroundings. However, we found the hotel clean and the food good (albeit very repetitive for a fortnight holiday!) We would recommend eating mostly in the bookable restuarants & taverna, rather than the "soup kitchen" as they have much more enjoyable surroundings. The staff worked very hard, but reception & some bar staff were not very attentive & often quite unfriendly. Because we were a young couple, drinks waiters tended to ignore us! However, we did request to move rooms (we were initially placed right next to the kids playground/pool & entertainment stage), and this was done (albeit reluctantly). There are LOTS of kids around and the "animation" team, although very nice, enthusastic people, can get a little tiresome, so if you want a quieter holdiay, go to the beach or the smaller pool next to the chinese restaurant. If you don't want to see the animation team shows, there is not much to do in the evenings in Kiotari."

"Great stay. Shame the actual accomodation was old fashioned (70's style curtains, paint peeling off the walls) and on the small side. If they gave it a refurbish it would definitely be a place to revisit every year as the location and food / service was excellent."

"Generally I found the hotel above average. I was slightly disappointed with the type of room offered as I was under the impression it would have a separate bedroom area for my children. The food was superb but I did find some of the attending bar staff ignorant."

"Be careful not to expect a five star rating in Greece to be the same you would get locally, however the hotel does spend money in all the right places. The food is unbelievable, expect to gain a few pounds. It's paradise for younger children. Inclusive truely means inclusive and you can eat and drink literally around the clock. Cleanliness is good and the staff are mostly very sweet and friendly. The beach is wonderful and safe, swimming excellent. The hotel is airy, light and spacious. Even if you don't like animation you can't help but fall in love with the team they have there.
Warm, helpful talented people who for me more than made up for the lack of entertainment in the immediate area. If you have younger children there is a wonderful daycare creche. I will definitely return. Not for young people only interested in clubbing and boozing. The hotel is sedate. For culture lovers there are many easily procured outings to various places of interest. Watersports available at a cost, but well worth it. Top tip, specifically request one of their renovated rooms. The older ones are really outdated. There was no direct telephone line available during our stay, but the coin payphones across the road are cheap and easy to use."

"Excellent hotel although a little isolated, I would recommend a hire car to enable a greater appreciation of the Island as a whole. Although saying that most people I spoke too either used public transport or were happy to stay within the hotel itself. Kids club caters mainly for German, Italian & French although my kids weren't too bothered preferring to stay in pool area."

"The island is lovely, the hotel i would rate uk 3/4 stars. Food was great, became a little repititive but offered variation with the choice of 3 restaurants.
Room facilities are adequate, staff are all very friendly.
Entertainment for children i would rate 5 out of 5. Definately a place more suitable for families looking for a quiet relaxing break.
- Closeness of the beach was the biggest higlight."

"The hotel was good - accommodation nearer to 3/4 star as a UK equivalent. the food was good, particularly the chinese restaurant - however you need to make sure you book early to get a table.

Was impressed that there was a bar provided on the beach and free sun loungers and canoes.

Overall a good holiday."

"Great facilities for those wanting to rest, especially for families with children. I do not give the 'Excellent' mark because of two reasons:
1. The rooms cannot be locked from inside using the key, so the children can go out unnoticed (e.g. in the morning when the parents are yet asleep).
2. We had to call a doctor for our younger son. In such a resort as Kiotari with more than 1200 guests there was no doctor on site! The hotel staff called a doctor from the Rhodes town (50 km away)."

"We had a number of issues such as power cuts, storms, fire and floods. But despite this the hotel staff worked really hard not to let all of the guests suffer. Obviously some guests did suffer directly but from what we could ascertain from other guests is that they worked hard to accomodate the unexpected and tried their utmost to rectify any problems. The staff are really pleasant and as it was our second time there; many of them remembered us from last year which was nice. The entertainment was good, as was the food and rooms."

"We had a few problems
1) A massive fire in the hotel the evening after we arrived (Greek headline news).
2)Flooding
3)A fire at the new beach bar which was destroyed.

But The Hotel still sorted out the problems and functioned at 90% which for all the Problems (not of their own fault) was very good.
Would recommend this hotel for people looking for a quit relaxing holiday with excellent food.
This Hotel is for people looking for a Quiet greek holiday ! If you like Egg and chips and the Birdie song dont come here."
