  • "Rooms are good but not large. Cleanliness is fine. Corridors need brightening - particularly as the bedroom doors are rather forbidding."

  • Top Tip:

    "The huge shopping mall is only a few yards away but doesn't intrude on the hotel. The best way to get about Gothenburg is by tram and stops are within easy walking distance of the hotel. Buy a Gothenburg Pass if you are staying for a couple of days or more - it makes the attractions and travel about the City much more affordable."

  • "The Scandic Europa Hotel is situated centrally,across from the both Rail & Bus Station.This makes it ideal for those who are staying just a few days and wish to be in the centre.( This was not made very clear otherwise I would have booked here on both my visits to gothanburg,having stayed else were just a few days earlier).The hotel staff were excellent, the rooms were very well appointed and too my surprise very well sound proofed.( No traffic noise could be heard-excellent double glazing)Only managed a bar supper but this was really good and the bar person serving was excellent.Breakfast was first class.
    The only faults I would have is in leisure area,sauna not working,no instructions on lighting for the swimming pool( my son swam in the dark)No towels provide!!
    Overall I would have to rate the Hotel 8/10, sort these minor details than 9/10

This 4 star hotel is located in the city centre of Gothenburg and was established in 1972. It is close to the City Center and the nearest station is Brunnsparken. The Hotel has a restaurant, 2 bars, a conference room, a coffee shop and an indoor swimming pool. All 480 rooms are equipped with minibar, hairdryer, trouser press, ironing set and air conditioning.
