"Very good hotel. Booked a sea front but they made a mistake in the booking, but they moved us on the second night and gave us some money back. On the whole nice people. Hotel directly on the beach."

"Well worth upgrading to the ea view room, though they didn't have many double beds for married couples. Never mind, it was excellent! The food is amazing (they even had game included in the Half Board Buffet-bargain!), staff will help with anything and the spa/gym though small, was really good. Would stay there again, though during the summer I expect the spa to become overcrowded pretty quickly..."

"off season the restaurants are all closed, and the water sports all stop, the beach is not that nice as its full of seaweed. But amazing view of the sea and old town..really amazing views from the balcony.
We booked the double room but got a twin which i was very upset about?
breakfast wasn't great - should really go for continental. Also the indoor heated pool is more like a large jacuzi than a pool!!!!! so we went to the gran hotel to use there spa services.
Slow internet connection in rooms too."

"The hotel's facilities are excellent and the renovation in 2007 certainly shows. The bar area and outside terrace is lovely and the spa area in the basement is amazing with its massage jets in the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. However it doesn't feature in any information given out by the hotel and you kind of stumble upon it - some people had been there for a week and didn't even know it was there! Generally information provided by the hotel was very poor and there was no feedback form which I found very odd. Most guests are German and the waiters and staff are certainly more 'geared up' for their German guests - some even struggled with English. There is no tea/coffee in the rooms which I found poor for a 4* hotel. The walk to Ibiza Town is about 45 minutes and was further than I had expected, although taxi is only 7 EURO each way. Parking around the hotel is not easy - they do not have their own car park and while the resort is developing quickly, parking spaces are already in very short supply. Although other comments rate the food highly I thought it was mediocre at best and wasn't that hot from the buffet. Breakfast is nice with decent coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Meat and fish was often poor and overcooked like many Spanish hotels and buffet style restaurants. Although you can have it 'freshly cooked' this wasn't any better than the food from the buffet. However, it would be unfair to say that food overall was bad. I would recommend this hotel as a good value 4* hotel near to Ibiza Town with first rate facilities - definitely pay the extra for a sea view room - it's worth the view!"

"Fantastic hotel. Excellent food. Wonderful facilities including indoor and outdoor pools, internet access, gym, spa and sauna. The rooms were well planned, spacious and kept spotlessly clean. The view over the bay towards Ibiza town from the balcony was breathtaking. Position was right on the beach."

"On first impressions the Simbad does appear good quality. I only have a couple of complaints: the choice of food on half board is not to a standard I would expect from a 4 star hotel, make sure you ask for a sea view and the mattresses on the beds are a little hard but they are the only complaints I have.
On a positive note the staff were very welcoming and very knowledgeable!!!! The rooms were cleaned every day to a high standard and the bar and restaurant look impressive. The prices of drinks were also really reasonable!!!
We did have lunch one day at the hotel restaurant (we paid) and the quailty of the food altered dramatically!!!! It was excellent!!!!"

"A smart hotel close enough to Ibiza old town for it to be accessible, far enough away to avoid rowdy neighbours. Food on half board buffet was very good, varied and changed every day. Guests were multi-national, particularly Spanish and German: relatively few Brits. Talamanca has the atmosphere of a "real" place rather than a manufactured resort. Highly recommended."

"The Hotel had a beach right next to it, so that was very good, the weather wasn't
that good and at one stage there were a lot of dead flies in the swinning pool but as soon as the hotel was told they acted upon it and started cleaning it.
I think the people on reception could have been a bit more welcoming as one in particular was rather sour faced but it didn't ruin our holiday, but might be worth mentioning it to the management as that is the first impression of the hotel.
The breakfast had a bit choice and was topped up throughout breakfast time."

"Good location with views of Ibiza town. Relaxing environment and friendly staff. Spacious rooms with smallish balconies but again, that view. The food in the restaurant was dissappointing for a four star hotel but we were on a diet anyway!! The hotel was a bit whiffy on the terrace but then we realised it was the seaweed on the beach .It is cleared every day so not so bad. Would consider returning."

"Recommend booking rooms at front of hotel - view is beautiful. Quiet location but quick and easy to reach Ibiza Town. Staff helpful and friendly. Food VG. We had a great time and would cretainly recommend this hotel."

"Great location, fit out was top quality in the public areas. Great breakfast food choices also."

"Lovely hotel recently refurbed, definitely the best one in talamanca. Always seems quiet which i liked. i wasnt there for evening entertainment as i would go out into Ibiza Town or to a club but there were singers and dancing for those who wanted to watch - although i would say it lacked atmosphere as a very small audience.
not many children at hotel.
rooms are clean and bathroom lovely. would say the bedrooms could be modernised a bit to be more inkeeping with the contemporary feel of the rest of the hotel.
nothing to complain about at all.. well positioned short boat ride to ibiza town or cab.
Ibiza is expensive though so be warned!
i would definitely stay there again."

"Went to Ibiza, Hotel Simbad excllent just as Trip advisor said, I would recommend this hotel to everyone but if you go dont spoil it, during our say no one put towel on sun beds, all the staff were helpful its a great base for exploring Ibiza although in a quiet bay its got great views. Flights tranfers and hotel were all great."

"Friendly staff and clean rooms. Sea Views from the balcony exceptional. The food was excellent. It is in a tranquil part of Ibiza so perfect for a relaxing holiday if you want to stay in and around the hotel. I think families with older children may struggle to entertain them as there are no pool tables, games rooms etc. Ibiza town can be reached by boat, bus or taxi - it is too far to walk every day (40 mins). The boat can be picked up at the nearby Marina (opposite the Ocean Drive hotel) and costs EUR2.00 pp each way"

"A group of us stayed at the hotel and we were all pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The hotel was of good standard, the rooms, the restaurant and the bar area inside and out. It was in a pleasant quiet area which is what we wanted near to the pool and beach with nice restaurants on the beach with a short pleasant walk to the harbour to then catch the boat to Ibiza town.
I would definitely return to the hotel."

"The hotel was very comfortable and the staff extremely helpful. My only disappointment was that there was no wireless internet. The hotel is situated in a quiet area, right next to a beach which is popular with locals. There are excellent restaurants nearby. A motor launch operates from the nearby marina (5 minutes walk) to take guests to the town for €3.20"

"Hotel Simbad has recently had a makeover, and while the reception area/restaurant etc was a 4 star, I found the rooms to be at a 3 star rating.
This hotel was in a quite area, but within walking distance to a few bars/restaurants. Ibiza town is a 15 min walk to the marina, then a 5 min boat ride to Ibiza town. So all in all around 20 mins away. In a cab I would say 10mins.
Overall I liked this hotel, but I would probably stay closer to Ibiza town next time."
