"The hotel was great,unfortunatly our holiday dates were at the very end of the holiday season in Ibiza.we flew home on the 17th October and the hotel closed for 6 Months on Saturday 18th.That ment the number of guest kept getting smaller as our holiday progressed,we seemed to have the hotel to ourselves during the second week.
we have always liked Es Cana and have been here for a good number of holidays.The hotel is very well situated 200 yards from a great beach,very suitable for families with young children,the water at the edge of the beach is very shallow and great for small kids.we found the hotel to be clean the beds comfortable and in general very well organised.
Normally on our previous visits the organised entertainment has been great but on this occation it was not up to standard.Maybe that was because everything was running down."

"We arrived at 4am and check-in was not until 2pm, But they had our room ready on arrival, even though we were 10 hours early. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, they made us feel very welcome. During the week our tap stopped working on the bathroom sink, we reported it, and the repair was done within the hour. There was a varied range of food on offer, to suit most tastes, often leading to me trying to decide which to have. The swimming pool had plenty of sun loungers around it so you could always get a spot by the pool, and the beach is only about 2 minutes walk away. The beach is quite a large sandy beach, with 4 or 5 excellent beach bars on it. The hotel evening entertainment wasn't the best I've seen, but also wasn't the worst, although there are plenty of bars in the resort that also offer varied entertianment. There are also quite a number of places to eat in the resort, from the beach bars to the chinese restuarant at the other end of the resort, which I must say was really nice. I have been to this resort 5 times now and still love the place even though it has changed a lot in the 28 years since I first went, and still beleive it to be one of the best places on the Island of Ibiza."

"The hotel staff were very helpful nothing was to much trouble.

"had a very nice stay in hotel, ,rooms cleaned every day with clean towels when you wanted them ,meals very good first week with plenty of choice but found second week not as good for some reason . Staff really friendly and willing to help you in any why they could .With this being our first visit to ibiza we would recomend this hotel and resort to anyone."

"From arrival to departure all staff were friendly, efficient and helpful from domestics, bar, reception and entertainment staff. Room what you would expect from a 3 star hotel, clean and tidy. Food good. Entertainment good.

My only criticism was that the sunbeds were uncomfortable to lie on."

"Great location, very suitable for young families as they children's pool and playground is completely separate from the main pool area and is gated so that parents can relax. Children's evening entertaining really great. Food good, rooms good - only problem it was very noisy if you had a room overlooking the swimming pool - the hotel should try and allocate families with young children on the back of the hotel. Music far too loud and didn't finish til 12 midnight. otherwise fantastic .. would visit again and again."

"A nice hotel, met my expectations in nearly all respects. Friendly staff, good service, nice and clean. The food was a bit hit and miss on a couple of days. My only real complaint was the entertainment noise by the pool during the day. The music played by the entertainersnext to the pool, was unnecessarily full blast, much to the annoyance of myself and other guests. I picked es-cana as it was billed as a "quiet family resort". If we wanted loud music, we'd have gone to San Antonio. Otherwise a nice hotel."

"Great hotel with everything you need. Lovely view from 5th floor out to mountains. Food was nice and varied. Pool and area around it was a good size with entertainment 3 nights a week and activities in the day if you wanted to join in.

The area has a few beach shops and bars/restaurants. It's not a large resort but travel around the island is easy with frequent bus services for no more than a couple of euros.

The staff were friendly and the maids did a great job with the rooms.

5 minute walk to the beach, but the best beach 'Nova Playa' is only a 10 minute walk away and has a couple of really nice bar/restuarants with really nice food.

Would definitely recommend this hotel as it's modern, very clean and in a great location."

"This was a very reasonable price for the time of year. Lovely and clean and staff were lovely. My only gripe would be the breakfast was a little cold, however we were always last in so maybe our fault."

"Accomodation was very Clean, Food was quite good and varied. Pool Area was ample and it was very easy to get a Sunbed and they were plentifull. The Reception Staff were very Helpfull, the Bar Staff were ok, but there was sometimes queing for Drinks. The Restaurant was always very busy. There was one negative where we book a Transfer from the Airport, it was One and a half hours, before the Transfer, due to waiting for a delayed other Flight. On the return Transfer there was No Problems."

"First time using Travel Republic and it all went fantasticly well, no problems at all!!
When speaking to other guests we had saved so much money compaired to others! Flew with Easy jet and it really was so easy, like getting on a bus, when we arrived our driver collected us and was so happy even though it was 1.30 in the morning!! You are told that you may have up to an hour wait for your transfer to leave the airport due to other flights arriving and we did have to wait an hour exactly, it wasnt great but we already knew about it so cannot complain and the driver was doing his very best trying to find the other guests. Pick up was great though, perfectly on time and straight to the airport!! Any time we had to speak with Travel Republic they were always able to answer our questions and calls were always answered within a good time limit.
This was our second visit to Ibiza, last year we stayed in the Miami which was fantastic and to be fair at times this year we wish we had booked that hotel again. WHY?? Well this has nothing to do with Travel Republic or any problems at all within the hotel. Infact we were given a huge room 213 and over looked the small pool and the sea!! ( be warned if you get offered a room at the front of the hotel as the smell of sewege is horrible ) Always cleaned daily although some days better than others, depending on which maid you had and i dont believe the halls were hoovered once during our stay ( 10 days ) The food was good, not always a great choice but we never went hungry ( or had to wait for a table to become available everyday like we did at the Miami last year ) and you must consider how difficult it must be to cater for everyone!! Only one day did my wife, whos expecting, cut into a piece of bright pink chicken!!!! Staff were lovely, espically the restuarant manager,always lovely to the children, hotel was so clean, espically the public toilets, which is something the Miami lacked last year!! It was the lack of entertainment for the children that lost it, nothing to do in the daytime. There were things going on but it was aimed at the much older kids and the adults, like darts, water polo and shooting. AND the evening entertainment was horrid!!! Mainly all staff lead and half the time they were proforming in ripped costumes, this was not at all a problem last year as we heard such great reviews and witnessed some fantastic entertainment, i believe the hotel has changed hands?? The staff, who really tried to please, were great and i felt for them as i think they knew they were doing a terrible job and they really were lovely people, just poorly lead!! They could not speak english either and could never really communicate with the english kiddies!! The entertainment in the Miami last year was absolutly fantastic and a couple of times we went and join in with them. Another great plus for this hotel though was, no need to worry about getting a lounger any time around the pool which was a big problem at the Miami, and the pool area never seemed too busy which i found great for the kids! Must add my kids are 8 & 4.
Finally i will say that when given the choice i would stay at the Miami again, however that is purely for the childrens entertainment and the kids clubs BUT if i did have to stay here again i would not be too bothered as it is very relaxing and even though we found the Miami better for the children it was a very rushed hotel which for some is too much. If you want a friendly, with english receptionst ( which we found great ), calm hotel, with light entertainment, then this hotel is for you, whether you travel with or without children. As much a let down the entertainment was there is so many nice walks and fairs, trips and restuarants that you shall not get bored in Es Cana!!"
