"We were on our Honeymoon and were upgraded on our arrival the room was fantastic and the service throughout the hotel was suberb. The Restraurant food was a very good standard and the service wonderful although the evening entertainment was a little odd for the surroundings (it would have gone down well in any pub in england) It was strange to have to go accross to the new cataract hotel to use the safety deposit boxes, as no safe in the room or any available at reception. the Grounds are beautifully kept and the veiws are fantastic. "

"What a fantastic Hotel, i would recomend this to anybody who loves nostalgia and places of a bygone era. I almost expected Agatha Chrisite to pop out of one of the rooms! She wrote Death on the Nile here!! The rooms were great and i am sure we had superior and not standard as we had booked. Thankyou"

"The hotel itself was excellent but the staff at the terrarce restaurant and pool restaurant were abysmal. Waited a half hour for someone to even give us a menu. The place was not crowded. The staff at restaurant 1902 were much better. People stay at the Old Cataract to have tea on the Terrace - good luck getting waited on."
