"Not near the beach but excellent frree shuttle services to Mangroovy Beach seven minutes away

Restaurants and entertainment only five minutes away in either El Gouna downtown or El gouna marina by shuttle or boat from the hotel at the bargain price of 20 Egyptian pounds [ £2 pounds sterling) for a weekly pass"

"Excellent. Breakfast was great. Stayed B and B only. Pools and restaurants were really nice. Staff were all very helpful and accomodating, from the reception staff, the restaurant staff, and the pool and pool side bar staff.
There was some work going on next to the main pool, next to the restaurant, but it was all partitioned off. A little noisy at times, but not too much. Used the facilities at the Spa which were out of this world. The staff running this were very pleasant, helpful and respectful.
Thoroughly enjoyed my holiday !"
Top Tip:
"Marina and "down town" restaurants were all excellent. Did not have a bad meal in any of them. The "tok tok" cars were a great way of getting around !"

"Excellent standard of hotel, excellent service. We had a problem with a smell in our room on our return one evening and within ten minutes we were offered a top of the range suite!"
Top Tip:
"Nothing is too close, you need to take a bus which runs every ten minutes or a taxi or tuk tuk, journey takes around 10 minutes. Or, you could walk across the golf course to downtown which also takes 10 minutes."

"We stayed all inclusive yet still had to sign a bill of 'zero money' for every single item, be it a meal or an ice-cream, this generated a lot of paper for nothing."

"Purchase 'OFF' (orange can) found in local supermarket - great mosquito repellant."

"Spa has lovely indoor hot and cold pools which they do not advertise. Entry is free and its a lovely way to end the day."

Description:

This astonishing hotel is the perfect get-away for the sophisticated golf vacationer. It was designed by an American star architect, Michael Graves, who has intertwined modern design with regional tradition magnificently. This hotel complex is close to a lagoon, the city centre, and is situated in the middle of the El Gouna USPGA approved championship golf course. The Steigenberger Golf Resort is 30 km from the airport.
