"Very pleased with this trip, having stayed at the same hotel a year previously. Very clean hotel, friendly staff, roomy apartment (not executive but holiday style), and excellent meals/snacks. Friendly entertainments team, with fairly sparsely attended activities, dealing with large percentage German clientele, but also French, English, Polish and I am sure many other nationalities. They were speaking very good english. The entertainment had finished at 11 pm, so this is not a place for disco mania. For guests choosing not to go All Inclusive, the Hotel has a ticket system for paying for bar items, and it is very cumbersome, not easy to see what you are paying for individual items. If going self catering you can buy individual days All Inclusive, Half Board, or single meals. However the desk rate for this option is nearly twice what you have to pay using a good web provider, so strongly recommend book AI if you intend to use only 60% of the available package items."

"I stayed at Sunrise Jandia from 4th to 18th December 2008. I was the only Brit among 500 guests, nearly everyone of them a German. Very few spoke English. There were no friendly smiles, no shared laughter and very little lively conversation. Your knowledge of German has to be much better than mine to enjoy a holiday here.
The world is full of fun places to visit, where you'll meet a wide variety of interesting people. Jandia isn't one of them. I've been to 50 countries and I've enjoyed most of my travels. I can speak fair French, Spanish and Welsh and some German, but clearly not enough.
I was glad to come home."

"Please be aware that this hotel caters almost exclusively for Germans. I spent a week as a single visitor and was not impressed to have two Germans put at my dinner table for the last half of my weeks stay. The seating is flexible for breakfast and lunch but fixed for dinner, hence the unexpected addition of the unwelcome Germans!
The above said, for the price paid not bad. Again, not in the top rank of hotels on the Island, but that was refected in the price paid. Also, this Hotel was near the top of a hill of which i was unaware when booking, a fair way from the Beach, the best bits of which were over an hours return journey. Fine for walking down, but getting up the hill a little assault for some. Food ok, quality fair to good, plenty of it. Rooms not bad for the price, but do not overpay at this hotel. Overrall at the right prce average."

"This holiday was booked for my parents silver wedding anniversary and they had a great time... great staff so helpful and friendly... food fantastic variety and choice... would highly recommend and hoping to return next year... a great hotel .

Flights - fantastic - arrived 30 mins early and returned 20 mins early - efficient and friendly..

a2b transfers - great value considering the distance from the airport to resort... fab!

"The Hotel was lovely but not used by English people, we were the only English people there, this did not bother us but could be very intimidating for couples. The swimming pool was 6ft deep all over, definately not child friendly and the childrens paddling pool was very small, took about 5-6 children at a push, fortunately our 5 year old can swim else this would have spoiled the holiday, There was no air conditioning in the rooms just a ceiling fan in the bedroom which meant very hot and sticky nights. I would not reccommend this hotels to English clients, the majority of the hotel staff were superb but some were downright rude for no reason apart from they felt they could be to us. We upgraded to fully inclusive as few restaurants nearby but all inclusive was an excellent choice and was very reasonable. Our rooms had a sea view too which was an unexpected bonus."

"The travel and the hotel were excellent, the beach was close by and fantastic, and there were plenty of shops and restaurants. The only complaint was that the maid nicked some clothes from our room."

"The hotel was lovely and the kids club was great and kept the kids amused twice and day with an evening mini disco. The only negative part is that the drinks are expensive if you aren't all inclusive and if you are vegetarian then you will struggle to eat in the restaurant."

"Cleaners were very good tidying up the room, they would even fold all your clothes away! Complex was a bit too big with lots of stairs and only one lift working. Would not recommend all inclusive. Beach is lovely. Weather was excellent 30 degrees every day, with a nice breeze. All in all a great holiday."

"The hotel was clean and the staff were very nice. The food was a little boring ( the same food day after day) but there was always lots of it. We really missed air conditioning and the fact that the Hotel didnt change travellers cheques were the only 2 faults that stopped me marking this Hotel as excellent.
The Hotel entertainment was very good especailly for the younger children, even though we didnt take young children. One week would have been great because there wasnt much for the teenagers that we took with to do."

"We were pretty much the only English Family at the hotel, the remainder being mainly German. However, this meant that the food was of a very high standard, the hotel was very clean and welcoming. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The only problem was ordering hot drinks in the evenings, which inevitably turned out to be "white coffee" no matter what you ordered! Mind you, you could have any drink you could imagine including local Cava's and Sparkling Wine's, spirits etc. The Food was so plentiful we've all put on huge amounts of weight. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (All Inclusive) and then inbetween an array of snacks at the Pool bar ranging from cakes and sandwiches, to burgers and hotdogs, icecreams and sweets! We were very impressed. There's also a fantastic massage and beautician service, with a qualified physiotherapist who is also a trained osteopath and trained beautician. Very reasonably priced!"
