"Nicely decorated hotel with a warm feel of a Mexican/Mayan culture theme. Quiet, and very tidy and clean hotel. Friendly staff always on hand to assist. Hotel is perfectly located on the Cabarete Beach itself and being beach front, it was great when you needed to get to the bars and restaurants on the beach which are never more than 2-3mins stroll away. Go for the breakfast option as it's great value for your money, but would not recommend all-inclusive with any hotel in Cabarete, because you should really venture out of your hotel to experience and explore all the great bars and restaurants along the beach. The most amazing holiday ever! Had a wicked time windsurfing 10 out of the 14 days which is lucky for October! Met so many friendly people both locals and other holiday makers. I would definitely recommend Cabarete especially if you are into your wind and/or kitesurfing. There are several windsurf centres all along the beach, but I would always go with VELA because they have the best kit and coolest spot to hangout (away from the reef) in the bar and the VELA crew are the coolest! I would go back to Cabarete but only with the girl I met on holiday as it was very special and we had an incredible 2weeks!"
Top Tip:
"VELA windsurf centre is only 5mins walk on the beach and I would recommend anyone serious about windsurfing to go with VELA. Tell Robert that Thane sent you! Also check out the Cabarete Surf Camp ("ALIS" restuarant - great food - steak - chicken, ribs, seafood all served fresh in massive portions including beer for less than a tenner!). Check out the Steakhouse next to BLISS resturant. Amazing steaks with fries and salad all freshly grilled while you wait infront of you. Go early to avoid lengthy waits as there are only space for 4 or 5 tables! Check out BLISS as well which is next to the Steakhouse. BLISS is a French Morrocan resturant is also amazing for special occasions and celebrations. It has a Morrocan theme to it with a pool!). "
