"Absolutely horrific, sockets hanging off the walls, electricity kept going off, when we complained we was told to only use 2 rings on the hob!!! we were in fact only using one, no kettle, no cork screw no nothing, dried blood on the door handle in the kitchen, and the beds if thats what you call them, I wouldn't, our backs are still sore from them, next door is a derelict hotel, that would have been more comfortable."

"The apartments where excellent very spaceous and clean, the resort over all was very quiet, staff in the bar where very friendly food ok. Not alot of English seemed to be staying here mainly Germans, Dutch and French. There was a lack of restaurants/bars. The ones that we found where good."
Top Tip:
"Nice Beach close by a bit hilly. The next resort Armacao de Pera was much busier and had a English pub called The Water Dog serving English food! Also lots more bars to chose from a short taxi ride away.

"We were very please with the service & help of reception. We arrived early & the staff appoligized for not being able to let us into our room. When we went back we were given a lovely 1 bed apartment with a pool that required an entry key, this was a nice touch as it seemed that most of the aprartments were privatley owned.

"We were very pleased with apartment. It was clean, spacious and had all the basic items you need. We found the mattresses a little too firm for our liking and noise transfer through the tiled apartments can be aggravating at 6.00.am from noisy neighbours above. However, we thought it was great value for money. Only 5 minutes walk from the beach, 10 minutes walk to a supermarket and a few restaurants in close proximity. The weather too was very pleasant for March. We loved it."

"The accommodation was comfortable and clean. The rooms were serviced every other day, which was adequate."

"Excellent value for money. Really clean, fresh bed linen on 6 days. There was no kettle ! but this was a minor point. Did not eat in the hotel but the apartment had everything that we needed except kettle. Decent supermarkets nearby (Intermarche)."

"I cannot fault my holiday at all, everything about it was superb from the apartment, pool and facilities, to the beach and local restaurants. I hope ths wasn't a one off as I am definitely going back next year."

"The apartment was very spacial and clean and mainly well run. The local beach again very clean, quiet and relaxing. However the greatest disappointment was the restaurant attached to the hotel - invariably the food was cold, one couldn't tell exactly what one was eating (pot luck really)! Shortage of crockery and cutlery etc added to the 'canteen' style set up, although the staff were generally pleasant. Lesson learnt - don't book 'half-board' go for self-catering every time!"

"Really pleased with the hotel which was clean and spasious quite basic but everything you need. Unfortunately while we were their the drilling from the nearby build ing work was pretty hore ndous therefore we were unable to stay round the pool area between the hours pf 10am and upto 7pm we were very dissapointed we were not informed about this when we booked as we were looking for a peaceful holiday. Apart from the noise, everything was perfect for us."

"Room was very spacious and spotless. Staff left you alone, which was nice, and room was cleaned 6 times a week.
Didn't eat at the restaurant, so cannot comment on food!
Entertainment was non-existent though - perhaps this is due to us going out of season in September. The pool bar was closed, and there were no tennis raqcuets to use on the courts!
Only problem was getting taxis to and from the local resort - you will sometimes wait around 30 mins for one to arrive.
Beach close-by was lovely - go through a little cave on the right and there are another 2 secret beaches!"Top Tip:
"Great british food @ the Blues bar, short walk from the hotel.
Great cocktails @ the bar before the beach (can't remember the name!)

"Fantastic views from our apartment. One balony looking onto the pool area and the other balcony overlooking the sea. Clean and well equipped. Central shops in walking distance.

"Surronding blocks not all that but block we stayed in was brilliant the cleaners where in 6 days a week. Would def go back if we got the same block."

"Check out the blues bar which is a 5 minute walk towards the supermarket.
