Top Tips from our customers for Beaches & Sights in Carvoeiro - Algarve

- Beach at Praia de Rocha was great - the boardwalks and cabin style restaurants at the back of the beach fantastic. Don't be put off by size of beach - within the beach there is a very local feel to each of the different restaurants and the areas around them

- Top tip is to hire a car to see the rest of Portugal as Carvoeiro is quite small. Great restaurant is Fernandos in Monte Carvoiero where you cook your own steak on a stone even my 12 year old ate it and all he eats is Spaghetti Bolognaise. Intermarche is the best place to shop, you also have Plus (same as Lidl) and Netto all within 5 - 10 minute drive. Best beach we have found in the whole of Portugal is still Alvor worth a visit and only 20 minutes in car.

Stayed at Colina Village ApartmentsJune 2007 - The beach at the foot of the hotel was divine. Luckily lift went right down to the beach else might be offputting because of the climb uphill after a day on the sand!
