Stayed at CampanileJanuary 2008 - Visit the Tryp Gran Sol Hotel restaurant on the 26th floor. Marvellous views of town, sea and castle. Has a/c and white table cloths, attentive service, lovely cooked food with a varied menu, a-la-carte, or set 3 course menu at 20 euros inc.tax. and including bread, glass wine./beer and coffee! Go for it!!

Stayed at Melia Alicante (Alicante)July 2007 - We found 2 lovely retaurants, neither of which I can remember their names, however, both are situated overlooking the harbour. As you walk along next to the harbour the first one is on a right hand corner, the second one is further round the harbour and I believe it has an italian restaurant above it. Both restaurants are clearly of a high standard when you look at their appearance and well worth the extra euros!
