- Ayia Napa is a wonderful place to stay if you looking for sun ,sea, shopping, and sight seeing.
The harbour area has been significantly improved recently with wonderful fish tavernas . The meze house in the monastery square is an experiance not to be missed
If you looking for sight seeing there are local bus tour companies who will take on tours ranging from a day in Nicossia to the cooler climes of the Troodos Mountains
You can now go on tours to Northern Cyprus but be prepared to take your passport, and restrictions are still in place on what you can bring back to Southern Cyprus from the north..
Ayia Napa does not welcome anyone who wants to cause mayhem.
Be prepared to be deported and blacklisted if you are convicted of hooliganism.
Ayia Napa is trying very hard to improve it's damaged reputation of being the lager lout capital of Cyprus.
It is trying very hard to become more family friendly.

- Hire a car, They drive on same side and so many great places to see, beaches,caves, monastries etc. Also only 25 minutes to Famagusta viewpoint, will put you off Turkey for life tho.....except at Christmas!
The Gardens Inn is great food place, good bar attached too.

Stayed at Pavlo Napa Beach HotelMay 2007 - Landa beach is a ten minute walk form the hotel and its a fantastic beach the setting is lovely and the beach bars on there are family run, good fun will be had by all the family - the fontana and the italian restaurant up in Ayia Napa are also very good and I would would recomend them

- Hire a push bike from the shop next door for a couple of days and get yourself down to Nissi Beach for a change of scenery. They have bike lanes off the main road so no need to worry about the Cyprus drivers.
