Used the poniente beach once. Excellent beach, reminded me of Miami beach with the skyscraper hotels backdrop.B eds 4 Euro.Umbrellas 4 Euro. Preferred the Cala beach at Finistrat. It's about 15 to 20 mins walk from the hotel. It's a bay surrounded by restaurants and bars. We used Molly Malone's Bar/Restaurants,which is 20 yards from the beach. All the buses charge 1Euro,are clean and air-conditioned, and you can go for miles. Beds and umbrellas on beach charge 3 Euros. from MARTIN

Local buses stop outside the hotel. No.5 takes you to the old Town in the Centre of Benidorm and the No.12 takes you to the new town where all the bars are. Both fares are 1 euro for all classes. Last bus returns from the old town at around 10:30pm. Taxi from the new town and all the nightlife costs around 9 -10 euros. Best to catch the bus outside the supermarket aoutside the hotel rather than at the back of the hotel where it can be a mad rush to board. from Stephen
