Stayed at Mon Repos Palace HotelSeptember 2006 - local bus to Corfu Town but buy your tickets in advance at the bus station in Corfu Town centre as you cant pay on the bus.

- We also enjoyed visiting the Mon Repos Palace (Georgian house slightly Greeked), Corfu Town is beautiful (see the gorgon and lions in the Archeological Museum and saunter down the Liston and have an ice cream - as good as Italian). I could go on (and on...)
Have a greek salad every day - every restaurant does them differently and ingredients are locally sourced, fresh and wonderful. And the portions are vast!
Try the tavernas on the road round the bay - just a few hundred yards away.
