  • Nerja is a fabulous destination for a holiday. It still retains lots of old world charm with its pretty, winding streets. It has gorgeous beaches, lots of shops and restaurants, very friendly people, mountain views and only a little over 2 hours from UK - what more could you ask? There are a couple of Irish bars with live bands and great atmosphere. A restaurant called The Cottage has a Phantom of the Opera evening on Thursdays which is a really nice night out. Have a nightcap in the jasmine scented gardens of the Morrocan tea rooms - just wonderful! Highly recommended.Plenty of traditional tapas bars or, if you prefer English, The Coach & Horses does a fabulous home-cooked sunday lunch. from karen

  • The Irish Harp bar on Calle Carebeo has live music a couple of times a week and is a good laugh. To finish off the evening Linda's Bar in Calle Malaga is a great place to go. Try the tapa bars - El Pulgillia and El Nino - the more Spanish the better! A drink and a tapas will cost 1.5 euros. The food is stunning! I had Sardinas every day! The Round bar is also excellent. from Patricia
