Top Tips from our customers for Entertainment in Caleta de Fuste - Fuerteventura

- Best bar: Piero's music cafe. Ideal for all the family and the entertainment is good. Go to the Marlin restaurant for English breakfasts, we got one breakfast out of our 4 free everytime and they were reasonably priced. Best restaurants for evening meals were the mexican corner ( massive T bone steaks!) Fado Rock Cafe ( fantastic variety and great service) Go to the Slowboat for great Chinese food ( avoid the buffet further up the road!!)
El Patio has good food, but we had a very rude waiter.
Supermarket wise- go to the Spar at the Atlantico Centre for the cheapest and biggest selection of food. You can get a taxi back to your hotel for a few euros and you'll save more than that on the food.
The beach is lovely, but wear sandals in the sea as it is very stony.

Stayed at Barcelo Club El Castillo ApartmentsDecember 2006 - For the older ones among us try LEGENDS, just across the road from Caleta Gardens. For a good laugh try The Flower Of Scotland, about 100 metres away.

- There is a free bus service run by the hotel which takes you to the shopping centre (Atlantico) behind the shopping centre is a lovely beach.
Its worth checking out the market on Saturday mornings where you can haggle and pick up some nice souvenirs.
There is also a card shop called miles away in the Castillo complex. The shop does day trips at very resonable prices. We went on the Oasis park trip which was brilliant and is definitely worth checking out.

Stayed at Castillo San Jorge Antigua and Suites HotelOctober 2007 - Look up Pieros music cafe. Good for entertainment and music after a hard day by the pool but get there by 9 as it gets very busy.

Stayed at Geranios Suites and Spa HotelOctober 2007 - For watersports, cycle hire, boat trips, just take a walk along the sea front towards the centre of Caleta De Fuste.
A good bar for dancing was the Rock Cafe, found in the centre of the resort.
There are a few, very good and clean, indoor shopping complexes.

- Go on the Whale watching trip from the harbour. We didn't see any whales but had a hilarious white knuckle boat ride and got absolutely soaked! Better than Alton Towers!

Stayed at Costa Caleta HotelSeptember 2007 - Pieres Bar has good entertainment but you can sit opposite in the Beer Garden and pay a lot less for the drinks and still see the entertainment. Feed the chipmonks along the rocky section of the beach(they like monkey nuts).

Stayed at Puerto Caleta ApartmentsFebruary 2008 - Good watersport facilities nearby - jet skis, snorkeling trips, scuba diving, pedaloes. Marine conversation right next door with submarine (glass bottom boat) trip. Theres even camel rides along the beach ! Although Caleta is a small resort it has a good selection of shops, restaurants and bars. As we were all inclusive we didn't venture far of a night - although when we did we felt extremely safe. If you want to get around the island but don't fancy driving there is an excellent bus service to Puerto del Rosario for EU1.30 and if you want to go further afield - take bus no. 3 to Puerto del Rosario - get off at the bus depot there and take a no. 7 bus to Correlejo for just EU3.00 (each way). Its not a long journey and the buses run to time. Correlejo is a lot larger resort and you get to see the sand dunes on your way there. From Puerto del Rosario bus depot you can get a bus to most places on the island. If you pick up the free leaflet from the harbour in Caleta de Fuste it gives you a map of the island and a bus timetable.
