  • You must try Capacoa Tapas Bar in San Fernando area. Great welcome & warm friendly atmosphere as well as great food. Gemini night club for an evening of live music from Gary Lithgow from Edinburgh & dancing. Sakura Japanese restaurant with traditional 'sit on floor booths' & the tapanyaki is great entertainment. A lift has been installed to take you down from promenade level to beach in Playa del Ingles - a great idea. from A

  • Definately worth eating at El Torro II if you like steak (and pasta). It is about a 5 min walk from the hotel on the sea front and the staff make you more than welcome. We ended up eating here 5 out of 8 nights! Make sure that you get a seafront room at the hotel. from Kevin

  • The beach was only 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Yumbo centre was just around the corner. Fab restraunts only minutes walk. The Japanese restraunt which was 2 minutes walk away had the most delicious food and excellent service. the local tapas bars were superb... very friendly and again superb food! from Heather

  • our top tips hear is that the hotel is right by the yumbo center and the citer center where you can find grate restrunts like marbellas in the yumbo and restaurant baccara in the cita center and it made our holiday thank you so much aaaaaaaaaaa+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ from Ian

  • the greek reataurant at the entrance to the santa clara was superb. the apartments are very close to the yumbo centre where there was very good shopping. the chaparal and kasbar centres were close by too. from james trevor

  • At the jumbo we found El Grucho to eat which was lovely . Also the new area that had been built by the lighthouse in maspalomas was lovely from Carly

  • The best steak house in gran canaria - El Gaucho on top of the Metro shopping centre which is next to the Kasbah Centre, a little more expensive than the usual steak house but its well worth it!! from e
