Stayed at Carmen HotelMarch 2008 - All the bars in the street serve free tapas with every drink. So, no need to worry about your evening meal!

- In Plaza Nueva there are many nice bars and everywhere does tapas. The atmosphere outside of the hotel was warm and welcoming-what a difference!

Stayed at Plaza Nueva HotelSeptember 2007 - Just around the corner from the hotel - on route to the Plaza Carmen is a Bar named "R." Very good tapas and a very relaxed atmsophere, with friendly staff.
Pre-book the Alhambra on the internet. You will avoid major queues. Audio Guides for the Palace are available. However not near any of the entrances but inside the Reception to one of the palaces.

Stayed at Hesperia Granada HotelFebruary 2008 - Can't remember names but plenty in the near vicinity. Also take a stroll to the Albazyn area. Excellent cafes and bars and atmospheric lanes and buildings. Only 20 mins walk from the hotel.
