  • Alhambra, goes without saying, the nearest place to heaven we can get to from Earth. Granada, local bars wonderful, free tapas with drinks. Take the train to Almeria, in daylight. Scenery to die for. Almeria is pleasant, lots of nice cafes and bars along the Mediterranean, but please visit the old town. from Myra

  • We went specifically to see the Easter processions - We are not religious but we wanted to experience the atmosphere and the ceremonial parading of these huge tableaus with their following cornet/drum bands. It was quite emotive and obviously the Spanish people, from babies and children (drumming on their toy drums) to the elderley enjoy the spectacle bursting into applause whenever the 'Penitents' carrying these huge loads on their shoulders did a little dance/shuffle to the music. from Les
