There are two restaurants nearby I would like to recommend: Moby Dick 5min walk just in the centre of Sakalla, typically Egyptian food, shisha of course available, nice atmosphere.
Another place is more expensive but definitley WORTH TRYING! It's FELFELA - a restaurant on the shore, above the sea, quiet, romantic, with lots of cosy places, little waterfalls and harmony of light. 5min by taxi (10LE) south from the new centre Sakalla, along the coast. Delicious food (also European) and shisha available.

Dont hesitate to go out at night, do lots of shopping, haggle with the shopkeepers, you get a hell of a lot for your money. Whilst you're out have a game of backgammon or chess in a coffee shop with local people, they are very friendly! You do get a bit of hassle from street vendors trying to sell you stuff but don't get intimidated, just walk past them and they will leave you alone once they see you're not interested. Loads of stuff to buy especially leather goods and egyptian cotton, all at a fraction of the cost you would pay at home.
