Dont hesitate to go out at night, do lots of shopping, haggle with the shopkeepers, you get a hell of a lot for your money. Whilst you're out have a game of backgammon or chess in a coffee shop with local people, they are very friendly! You do get a bit of hassle from street vendors trying to sell you stuff but don't get intimidated, just walk past them and they will leave you alone once they see you're not interested. Loads of stuff to buy especially leather goods and egyptian cotton, all at a fraction of the cost you would pay at home. from eric

So much to see and do all the hotels in the area are wonderful and friendly and transport is so easy and cheap to get around.Hassle free. If you want lively and entertaining go into Hurghada town,if you want quiet and relaxing stay in El Gouna. Would highly recommend and will definitley be returning soon. from Sonia

Nice to be able to use faclilites of the three neighbouring hotels. The jasmin Village is especially good for the kids as it has a great play park and it's own little petting zoo. The children loved feeding the monkeys here. from Philip
