  • Visited the Zoological Gardens which were excellent. The queues to get in are enormous so it is worth getting there about 30-40 minutes before they open. It is an excellent was to spend a good 4-6 hours. from Karen

  • Pollux is a brilliant shop where they gift wrap your purchases and on the ninth floor is a great view and the best coffee I had in Lisbon, surprised it is not in the guide books. from Lynda

  • There are some nice shoes, and handbag stores beside the hotel cheapper than the main EXPO shopping centre. For men & womens good quality clothes please go to Shop in one store just five minutes walk opposite St Pedro IV Square great prices. Transport is very cheap and reliable, but if you fancy exercise do take a walk it is really enjoyable and you can see much more. Unfortunately did not find a great restaurant as such, most restaurants have the same menu. A tip to remember in most restaurants extras like bread butter cheese wil be served don't eat them if you have not order them you will be CHARGED extra. What I did found on the third floor of Rua Carmo again five minutes walk was a lovely unisex salon offering manicures for E 5.00 Super hair cut and other treatments at a superb prices, Don Eduardo the owner very welcoming take pride in their work. The name NOVO CHIADO ! In General Lisbon is a nice city do visit the churches, markets, and the castle. from Belinda
