  • RESTAURANTE RIVIERA, Rua da Carreira, 54, Funchal. This retaurant is very close to the ornamental gardens in the centre of Funchal. It is quite large, entirely indoors but very light, cool and inviting. It specialises in local delicacies but is in no way expensive. The owners are no way pushy or off handed as in other restaurants and are both very friendly and helpful. My wife and I have been returning to this restaurant since our honeymoon over twenty years ago and we hope to keep doing so. from Andrew
