Top Tips from our customers for Food in Madrid - Spain

- One of the best places to eat and for entertainment value Cafe de Chinitas. This restaurant provides a delicious 3-course meal and flamenco dancing.

Stayed at Husa Moncloa HotelJuly 2007 - There is a restaurant, Il Cruz Blanco, over the road (Calle del Prado) almost opposite the hotel. The food and service is fantastic not to mention the Cerro Ano Riserva Rioja which was an absolute joy. Don't miss out on it as you are so close. You can move on to the bar 25m from the hotel on the left on Calle de Leon, I have forgotten its name but you cannot mistake it as it has 100's of fairy lights around the shelving behind the bar. Be in there when 'Singin' in the Rain' is played over the sound system, the appropriate atmosphere created is somewhat unique. Go and enjoy.

Stayed at Best Western Arosa HotelMay 2007 - Would recommend walk up the Gran Via towards the Prado.
Madrid much quieter than the hordes of people in Barcelona.
Did not see many supermarkets -found a small cake shop and small supermarket on the Gran Via just up from Tudescos along Cortedera Baja . Advised there was a fruit market held around the Tryp Menfis area.

Stayed at Gran Atlanta HotelNovember 2006 - I am a single parent of a 12 and 9 year old and had never been to Spain before and do not speak any Spanish, so we played a game in restaurants where we just guessed what we wanted and had some of the mosty amazing food that we may not have had if we had played it safe. There was not alot of English spoken, but they seemed patient and willing to help you out. one of the best holidays we have had.
