  • If you walk up the road which has Cappucino cafe on the corner and find the nearest bus stop you can catch a number 3 bus which takes you to a lovely beach called Illetas/Ses Illetes. from Sarah

  • Es Baluard gallery and restaurant. 250 metres toward Palma from the hotel. Great displays open to 22:00 and restaurant/bar open as long as you want. Stunning views over Palma Bay, from the cathedral to the cruise ships. Brill! from Raymond

  • Excellent local bus transport virtually at the base of the funicular and possibility of purchasing in Palma( in Tabacs) a special ticket allowing 10 bus trips for 8 euros. Also great Italian restaurant on water front just after Athena Palace hotel from Nest Wyn

  • Highly recommended is the beach at Illetas, which is a short bus ride away on a number 3, from the road above and behind the hotel. It is quiet, sheltered and has a good bar. from ernest

  • Great old fashioned barber on the corner right of the entrance of the hotel as you leave the building. Best haircut I have ever had. Also watch the parking on the right hand side of the building as you drive towards it. Some of the bays attract a £75 fine! from Lindsay

  • 1) Don't bother to hire a car-parking has to be on the street and you can end up spending up to an hour looking for a space in the strange dual carriageway system with few chances to turn back. 2)The nearby beaches aren't clean...especially the sea. 3) Great restaurants nearby!! Argentinian (best steak in my life!) 4) Easy and interesting 25 min walk into old city and cathedral..worth it!! Shop till you drop/street musicians/romantic spots...we had a WONDERFUL time!! from Cathrine

  • Make sure you take the trip to Soller on the old wooden train - a great day out with spectacular scenery and Soller itself is just beautiful. from Catherine

  • Top tip - avoid Sundays in Palma if possible - the shops are shut (though you can take the train over to Soller for the day - their shops are open), but more importantly most of the restaurants are shut at night. (Chinese & Indians are open though) from J

  • I would tell anyone to go on the little wooden train from Palma to Soller through the orange and lemon groves, blissfull! Or book tickets at your hotel and go on the open top bus which takes you all over Palma and you can get on and off as much as you want. from Gillian

  • local buses run every 15 minutes to Palma and are always punctual,the bus stop is across the road from Brenda

  • Excellent beach (Cala Major) only 10-15 minutes away on the number 3 bus, this costs only 1.10 and there is one every 10 mins during the day. the bus runs along the avinguda joan miro just down the hill from the hotel. from Christopher
