Top Tips from our customers for Entertainment in Marrakech - Morocco

- It was fun to go the square to experience the city life after 4pm and witness the story tellers, sample the traditional food, listen to the music and walk amongst the many stalls.

Stayed at Kenzi Farah HotelJanuary 2007 - The hotel has a great spa with great staff working there, they were very helpful in explaining the various treatments. I opted for the hammam (steam bath) with exfoliation & 2 treatments & a full massage - would definitely go back for this.

- The hotel spa in the basement was also beautifully fitted out and the hammam treatment is recommended. The food stalls in the main square, five minutes walk away were fantastic. Definitely worth a try.

Stayed at Les Jardines de la Koutoubia HotelMay 2007 - Don’t bother with the Actor's club round the corner from the hotel is empty. The shisha bar next to the Actor’s club is a nice place to go before clubbing which usually kicks off about 1am
There is another club called Paradise about 100 meters from Actor’s there are more people there but I wouldn’t bother as all you’ll find there are working girls (working to get your money).
There is a bar/restaurant called Le Cart 5min walk from the hotel get a taxi 20D. Worth going to and there is another one down the road from there I can’t remember its name but that’s also good.
DON’T BE FOOLED to doing the overnight Sahara trip (1850Dhrm), it’s not worth a penny (recommended by the hotel or any tourist place). They fail to tell you its takes between 7-10 hours just to get to a gathering point were travellers are prepared for another 2h camel ride (150-200Dharm extra and 50Dharm for head gear) or 20min by jeep (inclusive to what you have paid). To add the icing on the cake another thing that’s not mentioned the Sahara is a mini Sahara so there are only a handful of dunes, it actually does not look like a Sahara and you only get a few hours day light before you go to sleep. The trip back is even more fun!!
If you do ignore my advice which I believe its worth is in gold take food, water and a scarf so you can cover your head. Also if you are on the camel during the hot part of the day take long sleeve top so you don’t burn your arms.
HAPPY HOLIDAY!
