Top Tips from our customers for Beaches & Sights in Seville - Spain

- While central Seville is not a very large area, getting around on foot is time consuming and hard on the feet after a day or so (especially if you are over 50). Taxis in Seville are plentiful and inexpensive. You can reach most of the places of interest from the Corregidor Hotel for five euro or less. Highlights of Seville include the Alcazar, Casa de Pilatos, Maria Luisa Park, but not the shopping. Use the Metro (a tram, actually) to get from the Cathedral area to the Maria Luisa Park.

Stayed at Vime Corregidor HotelApril 2008 - Great place to stay for Semana Santa as there are lots of churches nearby each with their own Madonna, so you can see them start their processions to the cathedral. Seville is beautiful!

Stayed at Seises HotelOctober 2006 - Walking to the city at a steady pace takes about 30 - 40 minutes and there are some very fine buildings and monuments to see. To save the physical effort, take the 34 bus and you can be in the cathedral area within 5 minutes from the terminus, or even quicker if you hop on a tram. The open top bus tour is also a great way to see the city.
There are no good restaurants close to the Al-Andalus but after a full day out we were happy to use the hotel restaurant where a 3 course buffet dinner, half a bottle of wine and a beer cost around 40 euros for the two of us.
The buffet breakfast provides a wide choice and I would recommend eating all you want and it's doubtful if you will be hungry all day.

- we found the various tourist buses which travel round the city and stop not too far from the hotel a useful way to travel to the city centre ,and with a bus every
hour till late in the evening.

Stayed at Alcoba del Rey de Sevilla HotelSeptember 2006 - If you walk far enough down Avda La Palmera, you will come to the Exhibitions Park and a nice place to sit down by the river.

Stayed at Silken Al-Andalus Palace HotelOctober 2006 - Do not take cabs to and from the airport. The bus service takes 15 mins, is regular and on time, costs a couple of euro and drops you very near this hotel. The same is true for all bus journies - you can plan trips away from Seville at minimum cost.
Also, keep your passport on you as the museums in Seville are free to EU Citizens.

Just walk around as much as possible, something exciting around every corner.
