  • We absolutely loved the water park in costa adeje, our highlight of the holiday was a catamaran boat ride to see the whales and dolphins in the wild, it was absolutely amazing. If you are looking for the biggest piece of staeak in your life try the promenade restaurant on the seafront it was lovely, our favourite bar and restaurant though was an englisg bar called goodfellas on the otherside of the sea front, beautiful, views, friendly staff and delicious food. from Catherine

  • The Sunday market is an excellent place to shop for bargains. I found a Netto ( can you believe it!) within walking distance from the hotel. We went on a really cheap excursion to see the Whales and Dolphins. .They give out these leaflets as you arrive in Tenerife. Direct excursions. Very reasonably priced with English speaking guides. We were picked up and dropped off right outside the hotel. There ae so many cheap places to eat with good quality food. from Daphne

  • The beaches close by Aguamar are having some work done on the promenade at present, but are fine. Walk a bit further towards Las Americas and they are much nicer especially the man made one up past the Beach Club Hotel. Best restaurant by far that we visited is Razz Ma tazz. Owned by an English couple serves lovely food in very nice surroundings and it's very reasonably priced (fantastic sirloin steak 1.5 inches thick with all the trimmings for 9 euros!) Razz Ma Tazz is found by walking to the harbour. Then walk up the steps beside the Sony shop and it's on the left before you get all the way to the top of the steps. Tell them Pinky sent you. Visit Calletta - it's a nice walk (about 2.5 hours) along the promenade from Los Christianos or a 15 min drive / 4 euro taxi ride. There's a fish restaurant right on the water side with a terrace almost in the sea! Sunday market is nice to visit at Los Christianos - huge with loads of interesting stuff to buy. Tenerife was quite impressive on the whole and much better than I expected it to be - very few touts, clean and hasle free. Didn't see a single loud drunk!! Have a good time. • For great views, take the footpath up the side of hill to the east of the resort. It's about 40mins of fairly strenuous trudge but it's well worth it. If you like a good laugh with good bar staff in the evenings, "Danny's Bar" is the place to go. from Paul
