Hire a car and go up Mount Teide - we loved it and so did our 5 and 7yr olds. Loro Park is very expensive but an excellent zoo park for the children - under 5's go free which could make it a cheaper trip out. Ask hotel reception to order you a picnic - saves you loads on day trips. Go whale watching - yet another great experience for children and adults too! from Gemma

Go to Loro Parque. Amazing killer whale and Dolphin shows, was the best day out I have had in years and not too expensive. Use the information point in the hotel to book it as it was the cheapest way to get entry and coach travel there. Also the Lady Shelly whale watching trip was great- we saw loads of Whales. from Lisa
