"I would rate the hotel 3 star , staff friendly twin beds not comfortable, hot food dishes very monotonous, lack of enough glasses at bars and basic crockery in restaurant. If you go to breakfast after 9 you will have trouble finding a clean table, cups, teaspoons etc! the toaster did not toast bread. A staff party kept us awake one night till 12.30am with loud Egyptian music in hotel grounds.Not enough sunbeds on beach some need repairs, some towels should be replaced as threadbare or frayed."
Top Tip:
"Excellent snorkelling and diving on beach and closeby. Recommend you get a taxi or crowded hotel shuttle into Dahab centre for evening meal - £25 fed 4 of us and made a great change to hotel buffet, also shops.Had good trips with Francos watersports - day on yacht visiting different snorkel sights, waterskiing and a Bedouin supper trip by camel with sunset and stargazing."Tropitel Dahab Oasis Hotel check-in Date:

"Clean hotel - shower not good. Drinks in plastic cups + at dinner beer and soft drinks all came in small wine glasses. No entertainment. Taxi cost £4 in to Centre of Dahab. Music was very loud around the pool, but on request they would turn down for 10 mins. Meals limited."

"In Dahab try 'Friends' the restrurant.

"Excellent location. Staff very friendly. Room very nice but would have much preferred a double bed. Drinks not cold enough, especially white wine with meal. Food was adequate but rather samey. I know it could be a lot better. They served a very boney fish for about three days.

"Tropitel Oasis was definitely not a four star hotel. The location on the red sea was lovely. The cleanliness was well maintained. However, the food was exactly the same EVERY meal, despite the "theme" nights. The staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful. Maybe we were just unlucky for our 2weeks. It cost 30 Egyptian pounds to go into Dahab centre every trip in and out, which is where all the cafes/nightlife/restaurants and activities are based. Too far to walk in so gets expensive oing in and out. You have to pay for water bottles in hotel but not allowed to bring any in... Overall, had a great holiday but only because we stayed away from hotel. Would chose somewhere else next time."

"Staff were very good.
Food was fantastic for the price and varied enough to satisfy all but the strictest vegetarian.
All Inclusive drinks were available from Pool bar during the day and main lobby bar til midnight. Not really enough seating in the lobby bar/balcony. Problem made worse when some guests took great pains to reserve a separate table for their children who were mostly off playing somewhere and just used the table as a dumping ground for bits of bread sticks and empty cups. Don't suppose the hotel can do much about selfish people - I won't mention the nationality - I'm sure anyone who has been to Egypt can guess!"Top Tip:

"the staff were wonderful, so friendly and welcoming. the hotel is great for relaxing and snorkelling and 2 russian girls are running exercise classes to keep you from getting too fat on the lovely meals. The beach is uncrowded and sunbeds are plentiful, I wouldn't recommend it for very small children but for teenagers and adults who want a relaxed stay away from the bright lights it is perfect"

"Nice location for a quiet away from it all holiday. lots of germans, polish and russians so if you like men in speedos, 'happy days' !
Staff are friendly, we stayed on an all inclusive basis, but they seem more concerned with keeping the ' paying customer ' happy. At breakfast on our last day we were presented with an envelope in which we were expected to leave a tip for the restaurant staff ! Just a bit to pushy for my liking."Top Tip:

"We do not class The Tropitel Dahab Oasis as a 4 Star hotel - probably 2 star. The food was appalling and the service was below average. The only staff which we felt made our holiday special was the housekeeper as he was always cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel itself was ok but the pool was not cleaned regularly, therefore most of our 7 night holiday was spent either snorkeling or completely away from the hotel. Basically we would never stay in this hotel again."

"Not quite a 4 star though very nice. Food was a bit "samey" but otherwise pretty good. All inclusive was a waste of money as not everything was included (like soda & juices etc) also if you got a drink on all inclusive you had to have it out of a plastic cup! (except wine & beer @ main bar). Other than that very good.

"We loved the Tropitel Naama Bay. Kids were made extremely welcome and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Food was delicious however we found lunches were nicer than dinners. Would definitely go back even though all inclusive didn't include ice creams and fries for kids through the day."
