Lovely hotel, decor very nice, bedrooms lovely, great side sea view over to Paphos Harbour. Easy walking distance to everything. Quite popular with older guests at this time of year. Easy atmosphere, not stuffy at all. Highly recommend.
Breakfast fine, did not eat in hotel apart from this as i like eating out.
The olde irish pub good. chloes chinese very nice.
Very pleased with the hotel, my room was excellent and the facilities were all excellent. Very close to Paphos harbour area/ port so really nice to walk into th centre in 5-10 mins

Staff very polite and helpful.
Alexander the Great Hotel is excellent. We had a wonderful stay and have stayed there quite a few times. The rooms are nicely furnished and are cleaned every day with clean towels twice a day. You could not fault the breakfast it has everything you could want. The hotel itself is very clean and the staff are extremely friendly and do all they can for you. The view from the hotel balcony is wonderful especially at sunset. The entertainment is worth watching especially on the nights ANASTAZIO is on (3 nights, Monday, Wednesday and Friday). We will be definitely stay again.
The Viva Cyprus restaurant is very good for food and is just across the road. They have both english and cyprus dishes and are very reasonable.

We really enjoyed the hotel. On arrival there was a bit of a dissapointment with the room. next day we moved to a better room which was lovely. I don;t want to dwell on that as the rest of the holiday was lovely. The breakfast area and food were really good. The hotel is lovely and clean with pretty, well kept areas. We would stay again happily.
Brothers Restaurant over the road from the hotel is so happy and friendly with good choices and value. We love Tea for Two further along the road towards the harbour for a little slice of home. It is a lovely area to chill out and the harbour is very pretty.
Our room was dark and damp and the wallpaper was peeling off. There were ants in the bathroom and one evening we came home to find a large cockroach in the middle of the room. All of the furniture was old and dirty and I was totally dissapointed by the whole thing.
staff were excellent, really helpful.bedrooms could do with updating.restaurants were good and hotel bar relaxing although entertainment was poor.overall though we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
beach immediately below the hotel was clean and cost of sunbeds was cheap. the hotel section of the beach was too cramped. the seagull restaurant along the coast path was the best we found and unfortunately our former favourite restaurant, Theo's was very poor.
i would go for a sea view as the nightclub is very noisy on the inland view
try the moorings restaurant if u have kids good value and has play area

We found this hotel to be excellent in all departments. We had a problem with the room as we had booked a superior front sea view with balcony and we were given a side room . there was no problem changing us, but we felt that as the booking was made sometime before our arrival and had the room not become available we might have had a problem. We had a very enjoyable holiday and felt that the staff could not do enough for us
Fabulous hotel, excellent staff...they were always happy to help, particulalrly the customer services lady. The rooms are good, choccies on the piloow at night and freash towels everyday, if you needed them. Eat in the Cafe Royal if you are having lunch at the hotel, rather then the snack bar at the side of the pool. It's cheaper and much nicer. (They even gave us free soup and dessert.) Beach isn't great but the pool area is immaculate and they give you towels to take out there too. Evening meals are good but there tends to be a lot of older people that stay half board, however, there are lots of lovely restaurants two minutes from the hotel. Be warned that there have been cases of credit card cloning...do not let them take your card away from your table!
Go and see the mosiacs and Roman villas in Pafos harbour but be ware of time share reps! Some great bars across the road.
Lovely hotel, courteous staff, excellent food and service.
Only downer was the price of drinks in the bar - expensive.
Would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone.
Several bars much cheaper than hotel prices for drinks.
Elegant hotel, conveniently situated for all amenities; easy walking distance to harbour, shops, bars, cafes etc. Very comfortable rooms. Food: buffet dinners excellent (though the entertainment in the dining room can be a bit intrusive), breakfast only average & poor service.
Amazingly for a 4* hotel they charge 3€ per person per day for tea & coffee making facilities. Take a travel kettle & cups, but keep them hidden !. They also charge if you put any of your own drinks - including water - in the 'fridge.
Lovely hotel right on beach although due to wet and windy weather we didn't make much use of beach/pool area. Comfortable lounge/sun terrace, beautiful drapes etc. Only b&b so can't comment on evening meal but menu looked good. Staff extremely courteous and friendly. Was delighted and surprised by a bottle of champagne and balloons in my room on my birthday when we hadn't mentioned it, they obviously picked the date up from my passport. Lots of older people in the hotel (Saga have their own dedicated lounge) but would recommend it to anyone.
As it was out of season while we were there a lot of the restaurants in the area were closed but could recommend Adelaida - good food on a fixed price for 3 courses (14.50 euro including a bottle of wine), a la carte available. Pagoda was an excellent Chinese restaurant, although pricey.
Excellent hotel, on the sea front. At the edge of the town so not in the middle of the tacky run down centre of entertainment. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, covering all tastes. Staff were very helpful and paid attention to even the smallest details.
Go to EVIS bar, opposite from the hotel and down two streets. Evis was helpful advising on where to eat and arranging transport. We took his advice and had fantastic local meals. A real find.
What a lovely Hotel. The price was great too. A classy Hotel in an excellent location.
The food I ordered in the bar and which I ate in the lobby was great value and very tasty.
The results of the recent renovations are superb. The public rooms are luxurious and elegant and the bedrooms are tastefully presented and immaculately maintained. Staff in all areas are respectful, pleasant and helpful. Food at the breakfast buffet is varied of good quality and hot. I found the evening table d'hote meal arrangement to be slightly disappointing with four courses being served that I considered to be OTT and feel that British tastes would be better served with a simplified and plainer menu. The solution is to book on a B and B basis of course. Outdoor and indoor pool areas are pristine, in keeping with the rest of the hotel. There is a full daytime activity schedule but absolutely no pressure to be involved for those prefering to relax. Evening entertainment is (very) 'low key' in every sense. The hotel is located a easy 15 minutes walk from Paphos harbour. On the other hand there is a regular bus service (about every 15 minutes).
Cyprus seems expensive compared to other holiday destinations and if visiting in the winter months be prepared for many restaurants, bars and cafes to be closed. But, for a nice lunchtime snack visit Monty's in the shopping complex right opposite the hotel.
