perfectly fine place for an overnight, as we did, or for longer. A good price for the quality of the rooms and clean and tidy. Quite far from town by foot but we just went to the restaurant down the road so it didn't matter to us.

the local restaurant is fine for basic greek food.

for the price we paid, the place was excellent. staff were friendly, room was clean, the tv stopped working but as soon as i told reception they came upstairs with a new one...cant complain at all. they even let us check-in at 8am the day we arrived without any extra charge!

lots of nice restaurants / cafes etc, but lolos was exceptionally good value for money and good service also. not on the beach though. found many nicer places in Oia and Fira.

Stayed at the Alexandra Hotel and apartments and cannot speak highly enough of the Staff. We arrived very early in the morning and all efforts were made to get a room ready as we had travelled overnight and needed a sleep. The cleaners were absolute stars, bed linen and towels changed every day along with a good general clean.

The facilities in the rooms were typically Greek with a 2 ring hob but this was fine for what we needed.

All in all we couldn't fault the place. We would never have found it without TravelRepublic as we booked very last minute so thanks to them as well. For a relaxed stay with a good location and helpful Staff you wouldn't go too far wrong with the Alexandra.

The family run taverna at the other end of the town was a real revelation. Excellent food at very reasonable prices with brilliant owners. One tip is to get there early as it is generally full by 7.30. You never have to wait more than 15 minutes though so give it a try!

Splash on the beach is a great place to sit at lunchtime and watch the world go by.
