Casablanca Apartments is a wonderful base for a holiday. The apartments are very well equipped, comfortable and clean. The pool area is excellent and the staff friendly and welcoming.
If you have mobility difficulties you may want to think again because of the hilly nature of Tenerife, but aside from that, which isn't an issue for my family, everything is very positive.

Top Tip Head down the stairs opposite the entrance and the whole if Puerto is yours to explore. Enjoy a drink in the bar/restaurant in the Plaza del Charco and watch the world go by.

Very clean and well equipped apartment. Staff welcoming and helpful.
Bathrooms slightly dated. Overall excellent value for money and would visit again. (this time was second visit). 15-20 mins walk to town centre/beach.

Top Tip Visit Lagos Martianez for excellent swimming in salt water lagoon.

Room lovely, clean. Kitchen had kettle, toaster, microwave. Only one bathroom in 2 bedroom apartment. Staff very helpful. Cleaned 5 days a week. Kids thought pool was small. There was a lifeguard at the pool.

Top Tip Lagos Martinez well worth a visit, sea water, 7 pools, no sand, great day.

Apartos. Casablanca was a very clean and the staff were very nice cheerful people. They were the first to refund our accommodation payment in full, in spite of a binding contract that we should pay, when travelling was prevented by volcanic dust cloud. The hill and steps, approx 1/2 mile, were too much for us old crocs. The transfer cost was also refunded in full.

We were unlucky in that it was like being on a building site with Kango hammers going all day and the pool being dry for the first few days: had we gone as originally planned we would have been outside this time window.

Monarch Air have greatly improved their check in both at Gatwick and Tenerife and all went smoothly. They have, five weeks later, still not refunded the fare for their cancelled flight, the only ones actually legally required to do so.

Top Tip The mini market next door were excellent and trusting people with fesh cooked bread from 8am. Be ware of fish - they serve it just the way they found it! Nicely cooked boneless white fish served at the restaurant on the left just before the rising steps opposite reception. Best restaurants at the bottom of the hill; 3 euro taxi back from the harbour. Decent bacon isn't known and HP sauce isn't know either.

Excellent spacious, well kept appartments and pleasant staff. We were originally allocated Appartment 7201. It was a lovely appartment BUT just above the access to a garage and a skip full of rubbish! The appartment we were then offered was on the 4th floor with a lovely view of the sea and town. The Casa Blanca pool was closed for refurbishment but we actually preferred the pool at El Tope.

Top Tip Mil Sabores is a lovely restaurant in the Old Town with very pleasant international staff.

The apartment block was large and well maintained and clean and friendly, and only a 5 minute walk down some steps to the beach and promenade (black sand). Our 2 bed apartment was a good size, bigger than expected and clean and functional, with great views of Puerto. Ask for rooms around the back. There was a bar/restaurant and a small pool. However this was freezing so our children could not spend too long in it! The main drawback of this was also the fact that children could not have any fun by the pool; no inflatables, diving etc so quite boring for them. There was a games room, located away from the bar, pool etc, and therefore not visible for parents to keep an eye on children, however not everything in it was working. The staff at the bar were friendly, the food was good, and there was entertainment on some nights. There was also a separate gym, which we never used.
This is a good place to stay if you want to relax, and use the place as a base. However we didn't think it catered too well for families with older children, though younger ones would be fine.

Top Tip The best beach is just below Loro Park, though again too many rules about not having fun /inflatables etc. There is a free train to the park which goes from Mcdonalds by the sea front. The best places to eat is in the streets behind the main promenade, where the locals eat, which is also cheaper than the tourist restaurants.

Read all the reviews before booking and thought they can't all be right that this is a great place to stay but they were and it is :)

On the day we were leaving they even brought up a bottle of champagne to our room as it was my wife's birthday (nice touch and totally unexpected).

Nothing was too much trouble. Room cleaning was top notch and everyone was friendly.

Totally, totally, totally recommend this place.

Top Tip You can hire a car cheaply at the apartments. They will drop off and pick up where you are so no messing around at all.

Block 9 has great sea views but beware of the cockerels in the ravine (take ear plugs).

When they have Spanish Elvis booked as the evening entertainment then cancel all appointments and go and see him. He will have you laughing out loud (not intentional of course).

Lido is great (you won't miss it as its so large). Give the botanical gardens a wide berth (unless its totally your thing) as they are a bit dull and for the same price you can go to the Lido.

First day its worth walking up to the bus station (its not really a station but its where all the buses park) and get a timetable. Buses are not massively cheap but they are quick, efficient and clean.

Use the yellow train to go to the jardin beach or just to go there and walk back.

Each morning where the main supermarket is (down the famous steps) there is a fresh bread/pastries stall and the pastries are great with breakfast (my wife made me go each day).

The Casablanca is well maintained and scrupulously clean. The staff are friendly and helpful in reception although not so helpful or friendly in the bar and restaurant.

The apartments are perfect for our needs.

Top Tip The best restaurants are to be found in the Old Plaza. On the last night we found Mil Sabores (a thousand flavours) and we were very impressed with the service and the food. It wasn't a cheap restaurant but well worth a visit. Everyone should try the vina norte red wine which is truly lovely.

This is our second stay at this apartment complex. Both times we have found this place sparklingly clean, with good, well-maintained facilities (pool, bowling "green", tennis, bar-café, etc.). There is entertainment put on in the bar, and this year our apartment was right above it, but the staff ensure it's not too noisy and that it stops at a reasonable time. There is a small supermarket just a few steps from the main entrance, and an abundance of other shops nearby. The desk is staffed 24-hours a day by multilingual and very helpful staff. My one recommendation is that if you are renting a car for more than a day, you pay for a space in the under-ground car park -- well worth it to save hours looking for an on-street spot to park. And bring your own salt, pepper and sugar if you don't want to buy the fairly large packs of these available locally. Other than that, perfect! Walking distance to the main part of town (but down a steep hill or set of steps, and coming back up may prove a problem if you have difficulties walking) and to the Botanic Gardens.

Top Tip If you want salt-water swimming, it is well worth the money to go to Lago Martianez, a large complex of inter-linked salt-water pools.

The apartments are fantastic, well above the quality we expected. The staff are great and will do all they can to help you. When we arrived we found we had been upgraded to a beautiful two bed luxury apartment, but we asked to move to an apartment overlooking the pool area, and they offered us one the following day. They were so helpful and let us look at the alternative apartment to see if we prefered it to the one we had been given. The apartments are very well equiped for self catering, the maid comes in 5 out of 7 days, and the whole complex is spotlessly clean. If you don't want to cook, the bar restaurant serves good food, reasonably priced, so you don't need to go any further. The entertainment is good too. All in all an excellent holiday base. Don't worry about the steps down to the town, its an easy 5 minute walk down. slightly longer going back up, but there's a lovely little bar halfway down, so stop and enjoy the view. We go to tenerife every year to visit family living there and the Casavova apartments are by far the best we've ever stayed in. We'll definitely be back!

Top Tip The pool at the apartments is nice and there's a lovely enclosed central area for sunbathing with a bowling green and the bar/ restaurant. But if you want to go into town, the Lido is an easy 15 minute walk and you can enjoy the sea views and the variety of pools. Loro Parc is worth a visit too for a great day out.

The accommodation was just as people had described and very clean. The complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch and we were upgraded to a one bedroom apartment which was a pleasant surprise. Food in the cafe/bar was average but it didn't claim to be more than it was and on the two occasions that we ate there it was acceptable.

Once again the transfer service was excellent, on time and hassle free and well worth the extra cost on our holiday.

Top Tip The Cafe de Paris sold some lovely pastries and florentines which we rewarded ourselves with after walking back up the dreaded steps to the apartments in the evening! We found the trick was to walk down the steps and up the path which was a more gradual walk. We are certainly much fitter for our visit to the Casablanca Apartments! There was also a chinese restaurant near the Lido in which you could eat as much as you like from the buffet for approx. 5 euros, good value for money.

This hotel was in a great location and within close proximity to shops and restaurants. You had to go down a lot of steps/road to the main town but if you had difficulty then a taxi was only 3 euros. The hotel was extremely clean and had all the home comforts that you would require. We never went to the pool because we preferred to walk to the most magnificent lido in town. Would definately recommend and would go back again.

Top Tip The lido was amazing, the biggest pool complex i have ever been at, it only cost 3.5 euros to get in for an adult for the day and just over a euro for children. This included beds, inside it was cheap to eat as well. A great day out.

Casablanca apartments are the best self catering apartments I have ever stayed in. They were clean, well equiped and of a good size. Staff were always helpful and very friendly, nothing was ever too much trouble for them.

I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone - yes there is a steep hilll to climb but it's not really that bad once you get used to it! Excellent location. Puerto de la Cruz is definitely for people wanting a quiet and peaceful holiday!

Top Tip As with other reviews I would highly recommend a visit to the Lago de Martiniez (Lido) - it was absolutely breathtaking and a bargain for $3.50 entrance fee.

Extremely clean, spacious, well equiped appartments, friendly reception and staff. Restaurent limited in choice but plenty of others nearby. Would definitely recommend these appartments.

Top Tip Appartments are located on a hill but then so is alot of Puerto, go 'up' to La Paz as well as 'down' to the main town when looking for shops and restaurents the walk back is easier!!
