Room smelt of fags, ask to move but no room available, they clean and sprayed room ok after that.
Lovely beach near by.
room cleaned every day, staff nice and the food is very good
uncle peds 1 euro bottle of bud RESULT :)
excellent location, food & staff very good would stay again
Pool area not big enough for the amount of guests finding a sun lounger often proved very difficult but this would be my only complaint everything else was spot on.
Beach was only a 5minute walk, endless amount of bars which all had plenty of entertainment
the hotel was really nice.
it is hard to get a sunlounger though, people que up early in morning for them.
then run to get about 7 at atime!
we just sat at the table and chairs.
but apart from that is really nice.
good location for everyone, really close to everything.
acrosss the road is john n joesphs really cheap food and drink.

Just got back from a long weekend(july2010 aged 19-43) in Benidorm staying in the Ambassador playa and i can honestly say i will never say, i will never stay in that hotel again. Without sounding disrespectful it was full of old people who say that the younger generation are rude they want to take a long hard look at them selves!!. The rooms were clean but there was a disgusting smell like sour milk in the rooms, which i think may of been coming from the air-conditioning unit, which was a joke in its self, you could only feel cold air if you where stood underneath it,and it was to noisey to sleep with it on at night so the room was stiffling at all times. We could not sleep with the balcony door open because of the nosie from what looked like the big aircon units on the ground floor and we where on the 5th floor. There were 2 pools both very small considering that there were 2 hotels sharing, and you had to be up by 7.30 if you wanted a sun lounger and there was no way near enough to cater for 2 hotels. And beware if you not physically on it you might loose it!! that is what happend to us, we put our towels on to reserve the sun lounger and some one came along and just chucked our towels on the floor and took the loungers(how rude)
The plus sides to the hotel was the location right near all the bars and nightlife and near to the beach and shops, and the food was pretty decent and the staff were quiet pleasent.I will book with Travel Republic Again just wont be chosing this hotel.
The beach is close by and there are lots of bars and restaurents on the door step, and the night life is a stones throw away.
Really central location to everything
Cafe Benidorm great night and happy hour or 2
Standard of room was excellent and appreciated being allocated to a lower floor as requested.
The food was of a high quality and there never seemed to be any queues.
Really enjoyed the poolside service provided for when we needed drinks.
Overall a great place to stay with a good atmosphere and excellent location.
Having travelled with my Mother who is 85, we found it in close proximity to the beach and the night life.
Morgans tavern provided some good late night entertainment.
Good food but the dinig room buffet location is a shambles when busy and difficult to get a table,The resaurant ataff were friendly, but the receptionist was indifferent,I had previously arranged to park my motorbike in the underground car park but this seemed to be a problem to her as the hotel was full, We eventually parked at €11 a day and there was only a couple of cars parked all week!!Its attitude like this that makes you considder other resorts.
I stayed at the same hotel last year & it's fine & in a great location.
Love this hotel. This is the 2nd time i have booked with travelrepublic to this hotel. Was even more special this time as was our 5 day pre honeymoon. Never had a problem with booking flights, hotel or transfer with travelrepublic, everything went smooth which is just what we needed after our big day.
We are looking at going on a 2 week long honeymoon in september and hopefully book with travel republic again as no hassle.
very close to beach 5min walk, aqualandia water park very close just jump on the number 1 bus. less than 2euros, benidorm palace which was fab again jumped on a bus only 5 mins away.
Right next to hotel if you want to book any trips or excursions book with them they are very friendly and happy to help with what number buses to catch even if you don't book with them.
If you take a walk up the old benidorm you have got to try this restaurant called Michael's you will not be disappointed the meals are posh and fab and you can get a 4 course meal for 11euros special deal. Well worth the money.
Anyway by for now unless i see you at the ambassador in the future, which i will definitely return to.
Hotel food was good. Room was clean and reflected the 3 star rating. Quite noisy as there is outdoor entertainment on in the hotel every night so if someone has young children or likes to go to bed before midnight then it may be difficult to fall to sleep.
Staff were friendly and helpful and I can't fault the location.
Palladium bar is good in the day and a good venue at night. The cafe opposite the entrance to the hotel had excellent food at really cheap prices if you fancied a change.

Tony romos, near levante beach, very tasty! western bar along gerona, good spot and good music!
Evening meals seem to be lacking a bit of common sense
Veal virtually every night? Think they must have a good deal on with a supplier!
Chicken once? Must be shortage of them then!
Barnies (cafe) not far away (on route to Talk of the Town) very good value!
Sherry's (in the old town) best steak pie in the WORLD!
Basic Rooms but very clean and comfortable
Food again basic but could always find something different to eat
Food is catered for the UK market !
We found all the staff to be more than helpful in the hotel
Lots of tribute bands at the bars near the hotel - all very good
food in hotel could have been better, more selection if anything.
ideal spot for all night time entertainment.
we had a great holiday at this hotel, food was exelent good choise for adults we were full board and did not spend anything on food while we were out.found it hard to get a sun bed after 9:15am.paid extra 40pounds for pool view but wish we had not during holiday as hotel entertainment started at 7pm till 12 at poolside and when that finished all you could hear was the noise from john and joesephs over the road this pub is 3 pubs wide but does not play music so dont close doors at 12pm but most night time drunks, hen, stag partysuse it on way back to hotels till around 6am.so we could only sleep well from then till 9am and 4pm tiil7pm for a nap before dinner,we just got accustom to this sleep pattern and it was not too bad.staff in hotel were good, but maids were exelent as rooms were done every day of our 11night stay.
best pub for attmosphere, good cheap beer, friendlyness and watching football was the village pub just off the calle europa also little spanish bar called copper kettel on calle genoa 3 doors from winning post pub which is good for a bet on any sport,
This Hotel was very nice , clean good service in every department , meals where great there was allways somthing to suit every kind of taste. It was near to all entertainment and beach was only two streets away ,very clean beach if a bit rocky going into the sea.but if you moved nearer to Old town Benidorm it improves, The only problem we had was the building work on a hotel facing hower room.but otherwise we had a wonderfull time. We will travel with TravelRepublic Again Thanks
Hotel rooms very clean. Food very good, lots of variety. Staff were OK - not friendly but not unapproachable either.
