Check-in Date: 03/Jul/2010

We have stayed at the AquaMare before and cannot praise the staff enough. The hotel is spotlessly clean, with friendly staff, who strive to make your stay enjoyable. Food is lovely and good facilites. There is a lack of entertainment, however, bars, restaurants and Paphos town are all in walkable distance.

We hope to visit again next year.

Top Tip Hire a car and visit some lovely resorts such as Laski and Pissouri, all within an hours drive.

This was a lovely hotel, excellent cleanliness, excellent staff very friendly, excellent food, however the hotel had no entertainment and was very quite, We had planned on using the spa facilities at the hotel however they were extremely expensive so we decided against this treat! The location is a little far out although there are a few bars and restaurants on the road walk to the harbour, there is a bus stop outside the hotel which can take you to most destinationss. the hotel is overlooking the beach (very rocky!) and you can take a lovely stroll along the front to the harbour (45 mins) however this cannot be done at night as there are no lights and some of the pathways are dirt tracks.

Great hotel but the linen including the towels were very old and worn. Also the evening meal was not very good value at Euro 25 and on the evening that I used the restaurant the food was only just warm. Better value in the surrounding restaurants.

Great !
The hotel staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible, The rooms were kept clean on a regular basis and the food was smashing. We had a wedding reception at the hotel and it went as smooth as possible.

Top Tip Fiesta bar good atmosphere cheap cocktails after 10pm 10 min walk from the hotel.

Nicole from Sunbury On Thames reviewed the Aquamare Hotel
Check-in Date: 22/May/2009

Very clean, reception staff could be a bit more friendly, the food was good, the bedroom was rather cramped for three adults, two singles beds and a small single added, had to have an extra mattress as was not very comfortable, a week was long enough. There are no mattresses on the sun loungers very very uncomfortable. A very quiet hotel due to lack of evening entertainment. We walked into town most evenings.

Top Tip We were on half board, so no kneed to go out for evening meals.

This hotel was exceptionally clean and friendly, the rooms were lovely and the staff helpful and friendly.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and we would go back there again in fact we are planning to go back next year.
Thankyou for booking us into this lovely hotel.

Top Tip There are ample restaurants nearby serving beautiful food and if you want to go into the harbour area there is an excellant bus service just outside the hotel.

Check-in Date: 07/Apr/2009

We find this hotel clean and comfortable, and well situated on the sea front on the road to Paphos harbour ( about a forty minute walk ). Staff are attentive and helpful and the food is excellent.

Top Tip The Fiesta Bar, within about a ten minute walk, is good for lunches or an evening drink. The supermarket opposite the Ledra Beach Hotel, about five minutes walk away, has everything you might need, including a reasonably priced cafe, selling great ice-cream!

The hotel was fantastic, rooms well equipped and spacious, fridge and coffee making facilities. very helpful staff.lovely public areas and the food was amazing.cheerful waiters in the restuarants. only downside was that it was a fair way out of town and not much going on in the hotel. Having said that,if you were with a group of friends that would not be a problem. Overall excellent !

Top Tip Lovely lagoon for swimming just around the corner, clean clear water and sandy bottom.

We were fortunate to be up-graded to a family suite on arrival at the hotel. We found the hotel to be a good 4 star hotel. Breakfasts were good, we ate out in the evening as there is plenty of choice in and around Paphos. We are frequent visitors to Cyprus and in particular Paphos so we know it well. Would stay again at the Aquamare Hotel.

Top Tip Excellent restaurent for a special occasion - Il Classico.

I couldn't fault the hotel, it was excellent from the moment of arrival until we checked out. I would like to mention however, that we found the Company you use for transfers from Paphos Airport to be totally unreliable and would never use them again. It was such a bad experience that it has put us off using your Company for transfers for other future holidays. The problems we experiened were as under:
Arriving in the middle of the night at Paphos Airport we were eventually left by ourselves in an empty arrivals hall as the taxi failed to turn up. Fortunately, an Olympic Rep, who spoke Greek, took pity on us and phoned the emergency number and after a conversation with your handling agent was told that a taxi would be sent for us, which is what happened.
After this bad experience we were determined to try to ensure that the return journey to the airport was free from problems. As advised, we got in touch with the agent's office 72 hours before departure to confirm the pick-up. They appeared to have difficulty in finding our booking but told us to be in reception at the time which we thought was appropriate for the journey to the airport. At the given time a driver appeared who spoke VERY little English, but, moreover, was not carrying a sign with A2B Transfer or our name, so it was difficult to know whether he was our driver or not. Fearful of being left without any transport we eventually got into the taxi as the driver was threatening to drive off it we didn't but I did try to confirm that we would not need to pay anything on arrival at the Airport as the taxi had been pre-paid. He agreed that we didn't have to pay anything except 'A tip for the Driver, please' He insisted on this again at the Airport and we were not happy with his Customer Service.
I am not complaining about this, but thought you should have the feed-back for future reference as you may want to speak to your handling agent in Paphos as this is affects your Company's reputation somewhat as well. As you can see from the above the hotel was excellent and we would use your Company again to book the same hotel, but would never use your transfers in Paphos again.

Top Tip The hotel is situated about thirty minutes walk from Paphos Harbour, a reasonable distance for younger, able-bodied clients, more elderly and infirm people would have to use a taxi or walk some distance to the nearest bus-stop. On the walk into the harbour there are lots of great restaurants and pub-grub is plentiful. The restaurants in the hotel are great, as is the gym and spa facilites. Being new, the hotel lacked a bit of atmosphere and entertainment was limited. We found however, that local hotels, and there are a few in the vicinity, are happy to have guests from other hotel using their bars and lounges and taking advantage of their entertainment, which was sometimes great and alway reasonable, providing you are buying drinks from their bars.

I enjoyed the hotel, it was very good value for money. However i found it a bit strange for a 4 star hotel not to have a porter, room service or waiter service at breakfast.

Karen from Doncaster reviewed the Aquamare Hotel
Check-in Date: 15/Jun/2008

Hotel was very clean and well appointed. Rooms were big enough with sufficient storage. Food was of a high standard and there was plenty of choice, although if you ate later in the evening it was warm rather than hot. The pool areas were well maintained and the childrens pool was ideal for our friends whose little boy was never out of it.

The Spa was excellent, good range of treatments - prices similar to the UK.

We would recommend The Aquamare and would stay there again.

Some of the staff were new and not particularly helpful.

Top Tip The Rib Shack Restaurant was excellent - a short walk from the hotel.
