Flying to Barcelona
A feast for the senses, Catalonia's capital has a distinctly Mediterranean feel. Its revitalization for the 1992 Olympics made Barcelona the place to be on the continent. A picturesque location, Europe's best-preserved Gothic Quarter, Gaudí's delightfully cheeky architecture and galleries with the treasures of Miró, Tápies and Picasso make Barcelona visually stunning indoors and out. "New Catalan Cuisine" and tapas bars tempt the taste buds, and the nightlife and music are on the cutting edge.
Barcelona is justly famous for its nightlife and is a really fun city after dark. There are a wide range of nightclubs, bars, coffee shops and ice cream parlours, (Some smoking, some non-smoking) theatres, shows, street entertainers, a casino and sporting events. These cater for all tastes, young or old, jazz fan or goth, gay or straight, and keep people entertained until 6am every day of the week.
The city of Barcelona is also the gateway to Spain’s Wild Coast – The Costa Brava – which, apart from its highly popular resorts, is a diverse region of extraordinary natural beauty and cultural heritage (Dali, Picasso, Romanesque art, Roman Ruins). Attractions of the Costa Brava include: beautiful beaches and coves, facilities for adventure sports, mountaineering and rock-climbing, a highly rated, distinctive cuisine, a rich heritage of Romanesque art, natural parks and the nearby Catalonia Pyrenees ski resorts, highly picturesque towns, opportunities for country holidays and a good range of accommodation

“ Difficult to rate this hotel accurately as it was the end of the season and Salou was like a ghost town. Rooms were functional. They had 2 rings for cooking, a kettle and a microwave. Reception was 24 hours and were very helpful.
