Flying to Kefalonia
It is only a few years since the novel, “Captain Correlli’s Mandolin” made the island of Kefalonia a household word, but discerning holidaymakers had long since been aware of the beauty of this wonderful Greek Island with its fantastic coast, and fascinating villages . To really get to know the island a hire car will be a great advantage, for it will give you the opportunity to explore the remoter villages, and find your own magical viewpoints on Kefalonia’s forested inland mountains, that rise to 5,500 ft above the crystal waters of the Ionian Sea. A car will also allow you to discover the best beaches on the island and its many caves ad grottoes. Take the romantic road that leads, from the capital Argosloli around the bay to Lassi, running beside the azure sea through acres of scented pines giving fine views on the way.
In the remoter northern half of the island you will find such breathtakingly beautiful places as Myrtos, where the views of the silver beach below the steep overhang of the hills are outstanding. The nearby hamlet of Assos on the same splendid north-west coast of Kefalonia is certainly worth visiting for its sleepy charm.

The studios are beautifully designed, comfortable and fully equipped with all necessary amenities in creating a home away from home. Christina Studios pefectly combines rest and relaxation with a touch of fun and entertainment as there are bars and restaurants within walking distance.

Metaxatos Apartments The Metaxatos Apartments have amazing views - situated on a hillside only 300 metres from the sea overlooking the crystal blue waters and the coastline on the other side of the gulf. The location of the apartments is unique and the surrounding space is full of olive trees, blue grass, flowers and wild vegetation. This is a family run complex with a welcoming smile and good service. Located at the very outskirts of Lassi, only ten minutes walk from the centre, and 1500 metres from the centre of Argostoli, there is the best of both worlds here. Peace and tranquility and easy access to a bustling community if you want it. Metaxatos is close to two quiet small beaches and 20 minutes from the better known beaches at Platis Gialos and Makris Gialos. The apartments and studios are very well kept, recently renovated and fully equipped. A good choice for a peaceful beach holiday with some classic facilities in a natural environment...
“ The apartment was lovely, but unfortunately was missed on the bin emptying/clean sheets rota for 3 days which meant by my final day the apartment felt quite unclean. I could not find anyone around to request a clean.

Makis Studios is a small and friendly family run complex situated in the beautiful village of Skala, on the East coast of Kefalonia. The studios, with lovely surroundings and views, are set off the main high street making them private and peaceful. Yet, they are only 500 meters from beautiful Skala Beach and only a short walk from Skalas' shops, bars and restaurants. The complex is made up of 2 separate blocks housing a total of 24 studios, which have either a private balcony or terrace overlooking the pool area. Each studio is furnished with 2 single beds. The kitchenette area is equipped with a 2 ring electrical hob, a kettle, fridge, air- conditioning and hairdryers are provided in each room . The attractive pool area has an on site bar with a nice shaded terrace where you can enjoy breakfast, snacks and drinks, including cocktails, from the reasonably priced menu. There is free use of sun loungers and umbrellas for our guests.
