Flying to Zante
Zante, also known as Zakynthos, is one of the largest Ionian islands and just 8.5 miles from the island of Kefalonia. An island rich in history dating back to 1500 BC, from the Achaeans through to Roman times and more recently the Venetians. A beautiful green island with many attractions it is even possible to catch a glimpse of Loggerhead Turtles gathering to lay their eggs on the southern shores. The landscape is one of green slopes, olive groves and craggy coasts interspersed with beautiful white beaches. Once described by the Venetians as the 'Flower of the East' this charming island has all the ingredients for a great holiday.
Zante can be a wonderful destination for families. There are great beaches all around the island being the ones on the east the best for children. The most popular beaches are Alikes, Alikanas, and Argasi. On the west part, the cliffs falling into the sea make the beach inaccessible; you can swim at the Navagio, a beach created around an actual shipwreck that can only be reached by boat, and at the Limnionas lagoon.

The hotel is located in the popular family resort of Tsilivi, 4km due north of Zakynthos town. All rooms are spacious and decorated in a modern fashion, they are fresh and breezy with balconies overlooking the surrounding area. It is a cluster of 2 storey maisonette style buildings in the popular ochre earth colour scheme of the Ionian, there is also a separate area where the self catering studios and the more exclusive villas are located within the same complex. The Sunflower Apartments are located in Laganas, a quiet area of the famous greek island Zakynthos. They are located in the countryside, and it is not far away from the centre of Laganas and its beautiful beach. The peaceful setting is ideal for families and couples who want a resort in order to relax and also amuse themselves.
“ Sunflower was a great hotel, about 4 minutes walk from the main strip but it was all very tranquil around the hotel, the staff were very friendly and after a little confusion with the room (they put us in a twin when we had booked a double) they moved us around and we were very happy.
