Excellent location, only 5 mins walk to beach and about 15 mins walk along the sea front to the old town. All rooms overlook the pool.

Top Tip This Hotel is great if you like the old town of Benidorm. The beach is five minutes walk, and around ten minutes to all the buzz of the restuerants and shops in the old town. There is a bus stopp just outside the hotel taking you into Laventte beach.

The hotel rooms were to small for a family of three, they were cleaned everyday with clean towels if you wanted them, the toilet itself was situated to near the sink and my hubby found it a tight squeeze to use the toilet as did my son,i and a lot of other guests were not to impressed with the food at all.The corridors were long with no windows to open up you could find yourself sweating just coming out the room to go to the lift,i think the hotel well the rooms anyway could do with a refurb, i personally would not go back to that hotel, but i liked where it was situated, and i would go back to what they call the old town, mind you i think it was quite expensive for meals and drinks when eating out,and one supermarket near the hotel was charging you extra for buying drinks out the fridge,we found this happened in a few shops we were in and they were charging us between 10 to 50 cents per item for taking drinks out the fridge which was ridiculous, also the reception staff could do with a lesson in manners,it is a bit cheaper in the new town which took you about 20 minutes to walk in to,we walked there a couple of times and got a taxi back, the beach is lovely in the old town and again a few minutes walk from the hotel.Out of the two i would go back to the old town again but a different hotel, shop around when buying water and fizzy drinks as the price could vary and in some cases by a couple of euros. One good thing about the hotel was there was a lot of elderly people staying there at the time we were there, therefore the hotel was quite quiet at night and i found you got a decent nights sleep.

Top Tip Keep to the beach in the old town, but eating and drinking out was in some cases a lot cheaper in the new town.

The Benilux is a great hotel if your looking for a relaxing beach holiday. The rooms were basic, but the food more than made up for this, good choice each night and cheap wine!

There were restuarants close to the hotel but if you want any live music or to go clubbing, prepare yourself for a good 30/40 min walk.

This hotel would be great for families with the little park next to the baby pool.

Top Tip Local supermarket up the hill was cheaper than those on the main strip.

Hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. Food was in the typical buffet style but it was nice. Located near to the beach and the Old Town but you need to get a taxi to the lively bars in the New Town (only 5 minutes in a taxi).

The swimming pool was lovely with plenty of sunbeds.

My only fault with this hotel (although it can be a positive as well) is that it is full of old people that like to moan and look down on the younger people. My opinion is that they are in Benidorm!! so get used to young people!! However, it was actually quite good as well because it meant that the pool was nice and quite and relaxing without rowdy groups or lots of children.

Top Tip If you want a lively holiday then head straight to the New Town in a taxi. The waterpark is excellent and if you buy the tickets at the hotel reception then you get them cheaper.

Reception were very helpful when we asked to be moved to a lower floor, (my wife won't sit out on the balcony if we are on more than the 2nd floor). All the staff were courteous and friendly. The range of foods available was excellent. There were always sufficient sunbeds for all who required them.

Top Tip As my brother and sister-in-law have lived in Benidorm for more than 22 years we went to the restaurant and cafes which they knew provided good service and at a reasonable price

The hotel was great we really enjoyed it. However, I am not happy with the baggage situation at the airport we have to pay £60 to take our bags and upon booking the holiday we were not told this. Quite frankly i think this is appalling that i was made to pay this money and was not told by yourself or flyglobespan!

Excellent value for money, would recommend. A very clean hotel with good maid service, plenty of clean linen and towels. We arrived at the hotel just as the evening meal was finishing and the dining room was about to close. However, the receptionist informed the head waiter that we had just arrived and consequently the dining room was kept open for us. Reasonable choice of food at all meal times.

This was a return visit having experiencing a most enjoyable stay in June 2007. Sadly the inadequate heating, which only came on for a few hours in the morning and evening, really spoilt our stay. The only warm area was the restaurant, otherwise a warm jumper was the order of the day.
Will definitely return during the summer months, but will next time choose somewhere else in the winter.
