food was really bad we have stoped in benedorm hotels 9 times this year and i can say this is not even a 1 star hotel pool no kids games what so ever ,bar never open .took two days to get a pillow for the bed ,there was no one there under 75 years old all spanish.food was that bad we could not eat it !!!we paid half board took half hour to get a drink with your food .staff could not understand a word we said. no bin in room so at to use bags still never got took in the 8 days we was there.cant get out the door for police cars blocking the door ,police staion on other side of road .this hotel was below poor and was not worth half the money we paid .do not take your kids there or your mrs.this hotel is a poor as my spelling.
The hotel cuisine was excellent for what we paid, with an excellent choice of cold and hot dishes at each meal. the rooms and hotel were clean and comfortable and the staff, whilst not speaking much English, were efficient, polite and helpful at all times. the only criticism that my party had was that the house red wine was the most awful thar we had ever tasted, but there was no hesitation in refunding our money when we complained. The pool was small but well maintained and cleaned. There was entertainment in the hotel each evening, which we never took advantage of, but the music, dancing and bingo appeared to be well received and appreciated by the participants.
The old town in which the hotel is situated is most definitely Spanish in flavour, with few concessions for tourists, but we found that enchanting. On the front with a delightful view over Poniente beach and the "Park of Doves" was Tapas y Trago, a small bar/restaurant with a stunning outlook and wonderful staff, even though they spoke little English. By the end of the holiday we were part of the family having been introduced to and allowed to hold the owners grand daughter, a delightful baby girl.
