maxis next door is well worth a visit for a drink snack or meal

The bus service was very good, regular and always on time.
Me and my boyfriend enjoyed are stay at cabo de banos. we had a balcony overlooking the pool and sea. very nice sized rooms the only dissapointment is that there is no air conditioning in the room and as we had a good week of sunshine it was rather stuffy in there.
the hotel is about a 10min walk away from the main strip of resturants and souvenir shops and you are able to use the facilitys of the hotel up the road if you want entertainment or use there pool
When we first arrived we had to check into another hotel's reception and retrieve our keys. Its about a 5 minute walk from the hotel reception to the apartments. The view was very nice, and the apartments looked very good too. The pool was very small, and i noticed a big beatle type of insect in the pool. There was sunbeds around the pool and nothing else. We were initially given a room on the ground floor. On the way to the room there were loads of insects, which i hate!!!! We walked into the room and i felt very caustrophobic and could not breathe. I must admit, it was clean but it was too small and dark. The garden door was covered in insects and flies. I left the apartment straight away needing my asthma pump!!!
We were then given a room on the first floor, which was soo much better!!! It was brighter, less flies and insects and felt more spacious. The cleanliness was good, and was equiped with a fridge and kitchen utensils. They had a jacuzzi bath and shower. The scenery was beautiful. I wouldnt rate it a four star, i would say more of a 2-3 star!!
The maid came on our third day to give us some fresh towels, other than that I never saw them!
We hired mopeds to travel, no sign of any taxis!! There are many restaurants close by...5 minute walk.....the beach is very very very small.....most close by beaches are extremeley small....we did'nt have enough time to visit any large beaches.
There are supermarkets, souvenir shops all in 5 minute walking distance.
Good hotel to stay if ya want cheap and cheerful!!!!
Very clean but basic apartments. Lovely sea view. Always able to get sunbeds around pool which made a nice change. Used Los Lentiscos pool a lot as we had children who made friends over there, and they had activites during the day. Very close to resort centre which had loads of resturants, shops and childrens parks. A lot of spanish people stayed in out apartments, they tended to be quite noisy at night though!
Maxi's snack bar just down the road, fabulous food & sunset. L'ancora restuarnt by the blue arch, fabulous set menu for 9 euros. Great little cove opposite which is great for small children, take some fishing nets & bread as loads of fish there!

We had a lovely time here it was nice and relaxing but only a five minute walk to nightlife - which was perfect!
Five minutes walk was a very picturesque cove
Very nice apartments if you get the right room - we did. Had an end room with sea views - nobody else above or next door for first five days - which meant it was tranquil. Then the hoards arrived - unfortunately they were inconsiderate and yobbish and you probably can guess, British. Moral of tale is avoid school hols, which started at end of our week. The first five days were in the company of mainly spanish & italian guests, who seemed to know how to behave - I'm not knocking all brits just the mindless minority who unfortunately seem to mass in cheap resorts and don't know how to take their drink.
The walls in the apartment were thin and noise travelled easily - this means you can be heard too! Very limited supplies of kitchen crockery, cutlery and especially utensils. Only two plastic chairs and tiny outside table - which were not added to in spite of request to reception (at Los Lentiscos - 500 metres away). Otherwise excellent apartment.
Excellent place to eat is El Patio - very relaxing - sunset views - great food, 2 mins walk away. very friendly staff, who even did a superb paella take out for us (young toddler meant we couldn't really eat out in evenings).
Maxi Bar also great location, but food not so good.
Nearest beach is at least half a mile away, and it is not a very good beach - it really is tiny. Better beach at Cala en Blanes (take tourist train as long walk) or hire a car and explore places like Fornells, Tirana on North coast (about 50 minutes away)
The room was quite spacious, clean, well set out with good appliances. The pool
was clean with adequate loungers etc.Staff were helpful, spoke good English and
very accommadating.
Maxies restuarant and bar were nearby and the view over the sea at sunset was breathtaking.
really enjoyed the holiday. Accomodation was clean and not bad location
Nice accommodation and very very quiet.
Sa Caldaretta - excellent restaurant and value for money.
Lovely apartments, well equipped, clean and fantastic sea views. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the town so as not to have any disturbance and yet close enough to walk to.
Maxi's Bar is first place you come to when heading into town. Lovely food and glorious views of the sun setting on the sea.
Very clean & comfortable apartment, but no air conditioning and not 50m from beach - 50m from cliff tops. Quiet but only a short walk from the town and with lovely views but would proably be cramped for 4 people and the bedroom and living areas are only separated by a room divider. Overall we enjoyed our stay there.
Kids loved every minute
