Just returned from Club Cala Romani July 2010. We had a very enjoyable stay here but it would have been more comfortable if the Hotel had air conditioning as it was very hot, you can hire a fan for your bedroom for 18 euros which was better than nothing as it was very hot during the night. The rooms were a good size and tidied every day and clean towels left.
There are three swimming pools and a paddling pool for infants which were lovely.
The food was nice but I did think the staff could learn to smile & say thank you a bit more often, I do understand that they work hard and long hours but we always cleared our table & sometimes set the table at meal times and didn't get acknowledged by the restaurant staff by trying to help them as meal times were very busy. The pool side bar was very good as you helped yourself to drinks during the day and there was slush puppies & ice cream for the kids. We did not go to the evening entertainment as it was too hot in the theatre. I hope I am not sounding too negative as I would go back to this hotel.
The beach is a 10 minute walk down a man made path and is worth a visit.

To use an old-fashioned word - it was a 'jolly' hotel - the staff were smiley and friendly and rersponded to your needs immediately. It was super clean and the food was good, especially the pizza lunch room. We had a lovely room overlooking the pools, unfortunately by 4pm it became unbearably hot - no air conditioning. There were fans available but were quite pricey at 20 euros plus 10 euros deposit. There were plenty of sunbeds and patio chairs and tables and the atmosphere was great. There were six of us including two thirteen-year-old boys and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
The location was great - the little town about half a mile walk which had some super little boutiques and snack bars. At night there was always some form of entertainment in one or two of them which was a focal point for the evening. The beach was small but the sea was super, especially the pedaloes with a slide attached. I have a hip problem so I would walk to the beach and come back on the little train. Good fun.
On arrival we were put into inferior self-catering accomodation. We pointed this out to reception that we had paid for double hotel room and we were moved at the next available time, we were very pleased with the replacement room and had a pool view and the holiday was pleasant and good value for money. We would recommend this hotel for a short stay, good value, decent food and pleasant staff, very clean and the pool area and gardens were of a high standard.
Bar near the reception area was nice early evening. A bar at the bottom of the road from the hotel on the corner had live music and was welcoming
Excellent accomodation, very clean. Nice friendly staff and really good for kids. Food was nice but a bit predictable, chips, chips, chips, chips.
Town was good but a bit limited for bars/restaurants. Overall though very good value for money and would reccomend to families with young children.
Room was described as a one bedroomapartment, but was really 2 separate rooms with a shared front door, both rooms had locking doors which meant we could not put kids in one room and adults in the other, even the balconies were separate, with a wall blocking them off
Beach was a short walk through some bushes and trees, clean but small and busy.
Most of Mallorca's attractions are within a 1 hour drive if you have a car.
La Reserva in Puigypuyent is a little advertised but well worth the effort day out.
This was my third stay at this hotel and I would definately recommend it.
The hotel is not the poshest looking and unfortunately they have no airconditioning, but it does have lovely grounds, nice swimming pools, and is a short walk from the beach.
The food was excellent and during the day you can help yourself to beers soft drinks etc.
The staff are helpful and friendly and the room was cleaned and towels changed daily.
I think it offers excellent value for money and look forward to my next visit.
Some of the Male Resturant and Bar Staff can be a bit grumpy and unhelpful

We found the hotel facilities great for our 10 year old son and the large and spacious pool area was fantastic. Having been on all inclusive holidays for many years we expected the food to be of the same standard, however we found the food to be quite frankly revolting, we struggled to eat a proper meal a day. Very low quality and choice.
No air conditioning and the area was too noisey at night to leave the patio door open for air.
The bar ares and drinks were excellent, some queues at night but moved quickly.
Entertainment good for the kids.
Had a great stay, hotel was clean, food good, cleaners changed towels etc every day and staff were friendly would reccomend to friends and family.

Great staff and very clean throughout. Not suitable for independant wheelchair users as no lift access to pool and resturant other than a very steep ramp. Food excellent. Rooms on the small side if there are more than two in a room. No air con at all in any of studios. Kettles/iron quite expensive to hire. Ideal for young children as there is a very good entertainment program for them. Hard to get a sunbed after 8am. A good selection of shops a short walk away. Buses to Porto Cristo one way and Cal a Dor the other way. Very cheap and comfortable. Cigarettes have just gone up again. Transfers with resort hopper spot on again. Thanks again Travel Republic for another great holiday.
Along the promenade a cafe will let you have a sunbed and umbrella for 2 euros 20 all day compared with 7.95 on the beach.
Hotel facilities were very good and we made good use of tennis courts, Football pitch and pool area. The hotel was not very busy whn we were there but there may be a lot of competition for facilities in the summer peak season.
We went as part of a big family group so entertainment was not so important to us. However, there was something on every night if you wanted to avail and young children were well catered for.
The food was as you would expect from a 3star hotel, plenty of it and always something we liked.
Some of the bar staff could have been friendlier but the whole complex was kept clean and tidy. The accomodation was spacious and towels changed every day.
An easy walk to the beach,600m, was well worth the effort.
We all loved the local beach and the kids loved jumping off the rocks.
The adults all enjoyed the coastal walks.
excellant hotel enjoyed by myself mum and girls aged 8 and 10. food good rooms cleaned every day, entertainment excellant. perfect for families. no complaints at all. would recommend to others.
Decent hotel ,room clean, plenty entertainment, close to beach and centre. Not the biggest resort but adequate enough. All inclusive at hotel food fine apart from 1 day when we didnt like any off the choices available. Great swimming pools.
Central bar in the middle of the shopping area was brilliant really nice staff couldnt be more happy to see you . Great for all the football on sky sports 5 plasma tvs all showing a different game.
This was my second stay at this hotel and was not dissapointed as the food, accomodation and service was excellent value for money.
I think younger people might find the area a little quiet for them but for myself it was an ideal place just to have a relaxing holiday.
Value for money, good food, clean hotel, would recommend.
Hotel is a bit dated but is clean, the food's good with plenty of choice, friendly staff and a lovely pool with lots of sunbeds. There is a 10 minute walk downhill to the beach then about 20 steps to actually get onto the sand so this is not suitable if you have walking difficulties or are in a wheelchair. It is a very quiet resort with a few shops & bars but not really much going on if you want lively entertainment. The entertainment in hotel wasn't up to much in the evenings but during the day there were regular activities ie darts, shooting etc.All in all a good hotel if you want a complete rest.
HOTEL WAS OVER 2 HOURS FROM THE AIRPORT WITH OTHER DROP OFFS... SO BE PREPARED FOR A LONG JOURNEY
NEVER LEAVE ANY VAULABLES IN YOUR ROOM AS I HAD THINGS TAKEN FROM MY ROOM
WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AS ME MY WIFE AND 2 HALF YEAR OLD SON HAD A BRILLANT HOLIDAY ( NOT GOOD FOR GROUPS )
ALL OTHER GUESTS AND STAFF WERE SO FRIENDLEY
THE KIDS DISCO STARTS AT 8 TILL 9... VERY GOOD
HOTEL ADULT ENTERTAINMENT WAS GOOD BUT NEVER STAYED TO WATCH
THE 3 SWIMMING POOLS WERE ALWAYS CLEAN AND TIDY
THE BEACH IS ONLY 10 MIN WALK FROM HOTEL WHICH IT HAS ITS OWN PATHWAY
WE HAD A NON POOL FACING ROOM WHICH IS LOVELY BUT HOT IN THE EVENINGS AS THE SUN SETS THE SUN SHINES IN THE ROOM
BUT OVER ALL WE ALL HAD A REALLY GOOD CHEAP HOLIDAY
ALWAYS SHOP AT SUPERMARKET 2000 WHICH IS OUT THE HOTEL TURN RIGHT AND APPROX 2-5 MIN WALK
BIT CHEAPER THAN SHOP IN HOTEL
