GOOD VALUE BASIC CLEAN ACCOMODATION. ALL STAFF FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL PORTALS NOUS IS A GREAT PLACE TO STAY.
GREAT ITALLIAN RESTAURANT SORRY CANT REMEMBER THE NAME BUT IT IS ON A CORNER .
poor air conditioning very poor food both breakfast and evening meal poor location up hill all the way to portals nous village miles from the marina very small pool not a lot going for it really apart from staff quite friendly in my opinion the resort of portals nous lacks a top class hotel
taxi to the marina plenty of trendy restaurants or hike up the hill to portals nous village plenty of good pubs and restaurents
This was my second holiday at Costa Portals Hotel Portals Nous on both occasions I have been very pleased with this hotel the Staff are friendly and helpfull rooms are cleaned daily and the food was above average.Highly recomemened for a quite restfull break.
The area can be a little hilly for older tourists but a steady walk to the village will be worth it and then its downhill to the fantastic Portals Marina. The bus service is very good and taxis are resonable.
Looking forward to my next visit.
The local beach is wonderful 10 minutes from the hotel. it has a shop for light refreshment and a restaurant just up the road.
Unfortunately no toilets in the beach area.
The best restaurant for me is Wellies down at the marina tried several on my two visits but Wellies every time for me!
very friendly staff felt like home from home, hotel only basic but very clean, food was good much better than expected, will go again its one you should try for the cost this cant be beaten.
great little restaurant on next street just up from beach food fab staff lovely.
lovely clean hotel with very friendly staff, situated in a very quiet location but very easy to get to Peurto Portals, Palma, Palma Nova or Magaluf in a taxi. The breakfast was nice and plentiful and although we were half board we chose to eat out each night - the pizzas from the bar at lunch were delicious but share because they are huge. This hotel offers great value for money we will definelty return.
Wellies in Portals is a must for dinner.
costa portals.
smart modern, clean and quiet.nice rooms and restaurant.great value.
small beach, with only a shop and no facilities, but pretty.round the rock via pathway is puerta portals beach by the boat yard ,and has facilities.well smart area by the boats.class bars and restaurants.good bus service to palma or santa ponsa etc.
puerto portals has wellies restaurant, great food and scenery.if you want nightlife get bus to palma nova or magaluf or palma city.1.45.euro.portals nous is a great place to relax.
A basic, but clean and very pleasant base to relax. Location wise, wouldn't be the best for anyone with mobility difficulties/wheelchair users as the surrounding area is quite hilly and steep in areas.
L'opera restaurant - out of the hotel, turn left go down the hill and left again - its the first restaurant you come to. It serves the best pasta outside of Italy.
On the whole I liked the hotel but I found the staff on reception a bit unhelpful. The shower was broken on arrival and we asked for a different room it felt as if we were bothering him. Then the next day we report the television wasn't working and were told it was just bad reception we didn't bother as we didn't intend to watch much television but later in the week it rained and quite a few guests were watching football on tv and we mentioned it again and after a huff and puff tv was changed it was nothing to do with reception. On the same evening when it was raining our rome was allocated to another guest in error and they came into our room just a mistake but the staff did not apoligies when the next day we couldn't get back into our room because our key card had been cancelled saying technology said it wasn't possibleThe other thing I felt was wrong with hotel is there was no bar during the day for drinks or snacks. We tend to be out and about but for those who like to stay around the pool it was a 15 minute walk to shops and 15 minutes back.
There is a fabulous little bay just a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. the food was ok but nothing special. Sadly for the hotel its position is not that near to restaurants and there is a serious downhill walk to the beach. Accordingly there is an even more serious walk back up from the beach. The beach however is very nice and there is a pleasant walk around the headland to the port. Although it is a lovely place to be do not think about dining in the area near to the port unless you have very deep pockets.
Being fairly active I could consider returning to this hotel again but not till the beds have been replaced. Ours were very uncomfortable and when I pointed this out at reception I was told that they were all the same. I guess you get what you pay for!
This is our second visit to hotel Costa Portals and we yet again had a great time and the hotel exceeded our expectations. In terms of value for money you could not ask for any more. The hotel has recently been refurbished and is modern, clean and they have maid service every day. The buffet style breakfast and dinner always vary. The food is fresh and they offer an excellent selection to suit all.
The pool area is also clean and tidy and the bar near bar serves drinks and snacks.
I would definatley go back to Costa Portals again and recommend it to all!!!
There is a fabulous private tiny beach just a short walk away that many people are unaware of! If you turn right out of the hotel and take your next right down a very steep hill... get to the bottom and turn right again the beach is there at your feet! (5 min walk). I would say however, that Costa Portals is at the top of a hill so not great if you struggle to get around! We hired a car and this was great as we were able to visit our favourite nearby town that is full of shops and restaurants called Port Andratx.
the hotel and resort were exactly as stated on the literature. Very relaxing holiday.
hotel clean and comfortable. meals could be hotter. nice pool area, plenty of sunbeds. staff friendly and helpful. beach near but steep hill back to hotel. would definately visit again. did seem to be a problem with room overbooking.
great local beach if you can manage the hill!
Would certainly stay there again ,good position for walking to nearby shops and bars. Two very nice beaches within easy reach down a fairly steep road for the fairly fit!!
Hotel rooms could do with providing hairdryers otherwise cleaned daily with fresh bedding and towels.Meals were average,a bit hit and miss sometimes and the coffee could improve. All staff very friendly and helpful .On the hole a nice place to stay and relax.
On arrival we were told there was no room available for us. Thre was a coach party from Holland who were still in residence. It should have been no surprise to us as we had read that this had happened before. We were taken to another hotel where we stayed for one night and the following morning. It was a bit of a scutter but par for the course I suppose. The manager was a bit dour but the staff were ok.
The rooms were fine but smaller than usual and the Pool was a lot smaller than the photo on their site would suggest. The food was adequate but not always hot. There was one restaurant near the hotel but you would have a stiff walk up the hill for a choise There was an English Pub and an Irish Pub and some nice restaurants also. The hotel itself was situated in a wooded and mainly residential zone. Quite quiet and nice. The small beach down the road, very steep, was lovely, about 100 yards wideand quite enlosed. A nice change from some of the larger beaches. As it is very hilly in the area it might not be suitable for some people. I am 75 years old and managed ok but it would depend on your personal fitness.
The local beach
The hotel was very modern, clean and relaxing. The hotel is in a great location, just far enough away from the marina to enjoy the quietness. The only thing that lets the hotel down is the restaurant staff - they are unfriendly, abrupt and do not smile!!! It felt like being in a prison at breakfast, which ran from 8am - 10am PROMT! At 9.59 the doors were closed, curtain pulled across and the lights turned off! Very unwelcoming, especially when you're on your holiday!! However, apart from that, I would recommend the hotel. Had a great holiday!
There was a great little restaurant a 30 second walk from the hotel, called Parrot tavern....fanatastic food, even better prices and a very friendly & relaxed atmosphere. Turn left out of the hotel and it's down a little way on the left.
Spag bol on Sunday night for 8euros - delicious!!

On arrival we were told that the hotel was overbooked and that we would not be able to get a room until the next day. They said that they would put us up in a hotel that was a 10 min taxi ride away and would arrange for a taxi to bring us back to the hotel the next day, but would only be able to check in after 12 o'clock. Not very impressed with the start to our holiday but they hotel they put us up in was very satisfactory and we didn't cause any fuss. Once we were back at the hotel we were meant to stay at the hotel was up to our expectations and we were happy enough with our stay.
Having stayed at this hotel last year we knew what to expect.
For us it is perfect! Not suitable if you have mobility difficulties as very hilly area.
Staff friendly, very clean, food ok but a bit bland but plenty of choice.
local trasport cheap & readily available.
will probably return next year for 10 days of pure relaxation!
